As a BI Developer, you'll transform complex data into meaningful insights through intuitive dashboards, reports and self-service analytics solutions.\nWorking closely with BI Engineers, Analysts and business stakeholders, you'll help bring data to life, enabling colleagues across the organisation to make confident, data-driven decisions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with analytical thinking, problem solving and stakeholder engagement.\nReporting to the Lead BI Developer, you'll be supported in developing your expertise while progressively increasing your ownership and impact across a variety of BI solutions.\nWe offer hybrid working, with this role based from our London, Sunderland or Thurmaston office. You'll spend a minimum of three days per week on site, with the remaining time working wherever you can best deliver for your customers while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nDesigning and developing dashboards, reports and self-service analytics solutions using tools such as Amazon QuickSight, Power BI or Tableau\nTranslating business requirements into clear, intuitive visualisations and actionable insights\nAutomating recurring and manual reporting processes, reducing reliance on spreadsheets and ad hoc reporting\nApplying best practice principles in data visualisation, accessibility, user experience and storytelling\nCollaborating with the BI Engineering team to understand data models, KPI definitions and data pipelines\nValidating data accuracy, performing testing and supporting performance optimisation of BI solutions\nCreating and maintaining documentation, including dashboards, metrics and user guidance\nSupporting self-service analytics adoption across the business\nWorking with stakeholders to understand business needs and identify opportunities to enhance reporting and insight\nContributing to continuous improvement by exploring new BI tools, techniques and best practices\nEnsuring BI products adhere to governance and security principles\nWhat We're Looking For\nWe're keen to hear from candidates who are passionate about data and can communicate insights in a clear, engaging and meaningful way.\nYou'll ideally bring:\nHands-on experience with BI tools, with QuickSight experience preferred and Power BI exposure beneficial\nA strong understanding of dashboard and reporting development principles\nKnowledge of data visualisation best practices, including chart selection, usability and visual hierarchy\nWorking knowledge of SQL for querying and analysing data\nExperience of, or a developing capability in, enabling self-service analytics\nThe ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders\nStrong attention to detail, curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset\nExperience working within a collaborative BI, analytics or data team environment\nExposure to Python, HTML, CSS or JavaScript for analytics, automation or dashboard customisation would be advantageous.\nIf you're passionate about turning data into insight and want to play a key role in helping colleagues make better, data-driven decisions, we'd love to hear from you.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3742,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Hybrid work"],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"United Kingdom","iso":"GB","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Public Transport","Rail Transport"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-12T17:42:04Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"GB","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"Licensed UK visa sponsor (Senior or Specialist Worker, Skilled Worker)","filings_12m":null,"filings_prev_12m":null,"green_card_filings_12m":null,"median_offered_wage_usd":null,"route":"Global Business Mobility: Senior or Specialist Worker;
