We operate throughout the UK from six strategic locations - Crewe, Bristol, Eastleigh, Cambridge, Tyne Yard and Scarborough.\nArriva TrainCare is part of Arriva, you’ll be part of a professional team with these core behaviours at heart;\nWe care passionately\nWe do the right thing\nWe make the difference\nBenefits include 26 days annual leave inclusive of standard UK bank holidays, pension, life and healthcare cover, Arriva UK Trains Travel Pass, Cycle to Work scheme and Arriva Village retailer discount scheme.\nThe Role:\nWorking in our Crewe depot and reporting into the Heavy Maintenance Team Leader, you will be responsible maintaining rail vehicles to the laid down procedures.\nResponsibilities:\nCarry out work as allocated by the Team Leader / Heavy Maintenance Manager within set timescales and to the recognised standards.\nOperate (drive) rail vehicles as required, within depot operating limits, and in accordance with all relevant operating procedures.\nEnsure that safety procedures and documents are adhered to in accordance with VMI & local instruction.\nEnsure that work sheets are signed off promptly and correctly on completion of work.\nEnsure that the appropriate Quality and Environmental procedures and work instructions are adhered to.\nAttend technical, quality, safety and general briefings ensuring that the necessary action is taken on items raised.\nUndertake Safety Critical Work Regulations assessments under the guidance of the Team Leader, taking remedial action where necessary.\nCarry out any duties within level of competence, as requested by the Team Leader / Heavy Maintenance Manager.\nMaintain good housekeeping and standard of cleanliness throughout depot at all times.\nUse of all PPE in accordance with Standards and Local Instructions.\nAssist as directed by the Team Leader / Heavy Maintenance Manager to ensure Rolling Stock availability / reliability targets are met.\nMaintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.\nWhat You Bring:\nQualifications - must have a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering\nExperience - involvement and understanding of rail vehicle maintenance activities\nKnowledge - good understanding of depot operations with the ability to interpret engineering drawings.\nEngineering - strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering\nIf you’re passionate about making a difference and supporting Arriva TrainCare, we want to hear from you!
