Working Hours: 16:15 - 00:00 lates , 06:00 - 14:00 earlies. 2 week rota
Contracted hours: 38 Hours a week.
Are you a skilled engineer looking for a fulfilling career with a leading transport provider? Arriva is seeking a dedicated Multiskilled Shift Engineer (PSV Mechanic) to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and servicing our modern fleet of North West buses.
Your Role:
As a PSV Mechanic, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics to our commercial bus fleet-meeting the strict standards of both Arriva and the DVSA (Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency).

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards
- Improve vehicle reliability through proactive and reactive servicing
- Perform MOT prep, preventative maintenance, and quality assurance checks
- Carry out diagnostic fault finding and implement lasting repairs
- Work a variety of shift patterns - speak with us about options that suit your lifestyle
What We’re Looking For:
- NVQ Level 2 or higher in PSV, HGV, or (or equivalent international qualification - subject to verification)
- OR at least 5 years' relevant hands-on experience in vehicle repair and maintenance
- Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points)
- Fit to pass a PCV pre-employment medical
