You will drive a culture of safety, compliance and continuous improvement while ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with company procedures, engineering instructions and customer standards.\nWhat You'll Do\nLead and motivate a team of fitters to deliver contracted work safely and efficiently.\nEnsure compliance with customer Vehicle Maintenance Instructions (VMIs), Vehicle Overhaul Instructions (VOIs) and company work instructions.\nMaintain high standards of safety, quality and production performance across the depot.\nLiaise with customers and internal stakeholders to support project delivery and resolve technical issues.\nCoach, mentor and develop team members to maximise performance and competence.\nSupport the development of competence assessments and training initiatives.\nDrive continuous improvement activities and identify innovative ways to enhance operational efficiency.\nEnsure work locations remain compliant, safe and fit for purpose.\nPromote a positive safety culture and ensure all work is carried out in line with company, customer and legislative requirements.\nSupport the Crewe Depot Manager in the successful delivery of modification and refurbishment programmes.\nFull job description available on request.\nWhat You Bring\nTo be successful in this role, you will bring a strong rail engineering background combined with effective leadership and people management skills.
