Reporting to the Team Leader you will efficiently carry out maintenance and overhaul of rail vehicles to laid down standards and procedures and play an active part in continuously improving product quality.\nA fantastic permanent contract opportunity with great additional benefits including a salary of £42,.810.53 per annum along with 26 days annual leave (inc. bank holidays), pension, life and healthcare cover, Arriva Travel Pass, Cycle to Work scheme and Arriva Village retailer discount scheme.\nThis is a permanent contract, working an average of 37 hours per week, 19:00-06:00 on a 4 on 4 off rota.\nWhat will I be doing as a Shift Fitter?\nDuties will include, although not be limited to;\nCarry out work as allocated by the Service Delivery Leader within set timescales and to the recognised standards\nOperate (drive) rail vehicles as required, within depot operating limits, and in accordance with all relevant operating procedures\nEnsure that safety procedures and documents are adhered to in accordance with VMI & local instruction\nEnsure that work sheets are signed off promptly and correctly on completion of work\nEnsure that the appropriate Quality and Environmental procedures and work instructions are adhered to\nAttend technical, quality, safety and general briefings ensuring that the necessary action is taken on items raised\nWhat will I need to be considered for this Shift Fitter role?\nMinimum NVQ Level 3, ideally with experience of working with rail traction and rolling stock\nPrevious experience, involvement and understanding of rail vehicle maintenance activities\nUnderstanding of Depot Operations\nAble to interpret engineering drawings\nMore about us:\nAt Arriva TrainCare we provide high quality overhaul, maintenance and servicing of passenger rolling stock, locomotives, freight wagons and track plant.
