This is a hybrid position, onsite in our office four days per week.\nAbout the Role\nAs Accounting Manager, you will own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, oversee our most complex accounting areas, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting. You will report to the Director of Accounting and lead a team of senior and staff accountants.\nThis role sits at the center of a genuinely complex environment. Multi-entity structures, intercompany activity, revenue share, capex, and ASC 842 lease accounting are the everyday work, not the exception. Alongside the close, you will develop early-career accountants into strong professionals and lead the automation and system work that makes the function scale.\nWhat You'll Own\nThe Close: Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close so reporting is timely and accurate. This is the primary measure of success.\nComplex Accounting Areas: Oversee lease accounting under ASC 842, capex, accruals, revenue share, and operational expenditures.\nReview and Approval: Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.\nGAAP Compliance: Ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.\nIntercompany Accounting: Coordinate intercompany accounting and reconciliation across entities.\nTeam Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accountants. Coaching early-career talent is a core part of this job, not a side duty.\nTechnical Guidance: Advise on complex transactions and emerging business initiatives.\nPolicy and Documentation: Develop and document accounting policies, procedures, and best practices.\nSystem Implementations: Participate in system implementations and upgrades that strengthen financial reporting and internal controls.\nAutomation and Scalability: Lead special projects and automation initiatives that improve the efficiency and scalability of the accounting function.\nAudit Support: Support financial statement preparation and the annual audit.\nWhat You'll Bring\nBachelor's degree in Accounting required.\n7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including people management.\nStrong command of U.S. GAAP, reconciliations, and manager-level review of journal entries and schedules.\nExperience in a multi-entity or complex operating environment with intercompany activity.\nA track record of owning a full monthly, quarterly, and annual close.\nExperience coaching and developing accounting staff.\nASC 842 lease accounting experience strongly preferred.\nExperience with process improvement, automation, or system implementations.\nCPA preferred.\nExposure to revenue share, capex, or intercompany accounting is a significant advantage.\nStrong written and verbal communication, sound judgment, and the ability to manage competing deadlines with limited oversight.\nAbility to work onsite in our Scottsdale office four days per week.\nBenefits & Perks\nUnlimited PTO\nExclusive employee travel rates\nTravel discounts through arrivia programs\nMedical, dental, and vision insurance\n401(k) with company participation\nWhyarrivia\nAt arrivia, we power travel loyalty and rewards programs for some of the world's leading brands.
