This is a hybrid position based in Scottsdale, with four days per week onsite.\nAbout the Role\nReporting to the Director of Accounting, you will oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities and lead a team of senior and staff accountants. Your priority is reliable execution: accurate reconciliations, well-supported journal entries, and financial reporting delivered on time.\nYou will work across a complex, multi-entity business with intercompany activity, revenue share, capital expenditures, and lease accounting. Alongside these responsibilities, you will coach early-career accountants and improve the processes and systems that support a scalable accounting function.\nWhat You'll Own\nClose Management: Coordinate and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, keeping deliverables accurate and on schedule.\nAccounting Review: Review and approve journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules, resolving issues before they affect reporting.\nMulti-Entity Accounting: Oversee intercompany accounting and reconciliations across entities.\nComplex Accounting: Manage accounting for revenue share, capital expenditures, accruals, operating expenses, and leases under ASC 842.\nFinancial Reporting and Audit Support: Support financial statement preparation and annual audit activities with clear, complete documentation.\nAccounting Standards: Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies, providing guidance on complex transactions and emerging business initiatives.\nPeople Development: Coach and mentor senior and staff accountants, building technical capability, accountability, and confidence.\nPolicies and Controls: Document accounting procedures and strengthen internal controls and consistent working practices.\nProcess Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to reduce manual work and improve the efficiency of recurring accounting activities.\nSystems and Automation: Participate in system implementations, upgrades, and automation initiatives that improve reporting and support growth.\nWhat You'll Bring\nBachelor's degree in Accounting required.\n7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including people management.\nStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and hands-on experience reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules at a manager level.\nExperience in a complex, multi-entity environment with intercompany activity.\nDemonstrated ownership of monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.\nExperience coaching and developing accounting professionals, including early-career staff.\nASC 842 lease accounting experience strongly preferred.\nFamiliarity with revenue share and capital expenditure accounting is a significant advantage.\nExperience improving accounting processes, implementing systems, or introducing automation.\nCPA preferred.\nClear communication, sound judgment, and the ability to manage competing priorities with limited oversight.\nAbility to work onsite in our Scottsdale office four days per week.\nBenefits & Perks\nUnlimited PTO\nExclusive employee travel rates\nTravel discounts through arrivia programs\nMedical, dental, and vision insurance\n401(k) with company participation\nWhy arrivia\nAt arrivia, we power travel loyalty and rewards programs for some of the world's leading brands.
