We are looking for like-minded people who can share our passion for success.\nWe are looking for a Field Applications Engineer (FAE) who has the right mix of technical prowess and business savvy and can confidently identify, select, source, win and support new business opportunities.\nOther qualifications include intermediate-to-advanced level experience using Excel and PowerPoint office tools, and can quickly become competent on CRM and Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Oracle, Salesforce and Microsoft Power BI. This person should be a self-starter who can prioritize their activities to maximize Design Wins and Sales Revenue around the electronic component products and services they support. This person should be able to prioritize and be conscious of the value of the opportunities they are driving and provide appropriate levels of support and resources with an effort to maximize sales revenue and design wins.\nThe ideal candidate will be able to quickly respond and support our salespeople with their customer’s technical issues while also finding and driving new opportunities on their own. The ideal candidate should be able to quickly learn the company’s sales support systems to confidently search for new leads to pursue with or without the responsible account manager.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing:\nSpending most of your time in front of customers to influence component selection.\nResponsible for utilizing an advanced understanding of the customer needs and technical leadership expertise to champion return on engineering investment.\nManage supplier and customer expectations by building and developing relationships, keeping stakeholders up to date on activities, plans, and progressing towards initiatives. Identify key relationships amongst decision makers within suppliers and customers.\nGrowing your account base each quarter.\nDrive demand creation by maximizing Arrow content on designs. Understand customer needs and leverage Arrow’s engineering and design services resources to facilitate solutions for customers. Apply technical knowledge to influence designs utilizing solution selling, resources, and strategies.\nIdentifying solutions and resolutions to customer design needs and issues\nMonitoring your performance metrics throughout the quarter and taking corrective action as necessary to ensure you are on track to meet or exceed them\nPresenting technical seminars and workshops around your supplier lines\nProviding frequent updates to field sales team and being a motivating force around your supplier lines.\nPartner with the sales team across pre-and post-sales activities, providing technical support and consulting to promote demand creation. Technical calibrations & research with sales & other Arrow depts. & Suppliers in support of customer design. Champion return on engineering investment, design win priorities, initiatives, and promotions by obtaining buy-in and support from sales.\nAttend and actively participate in strategic branch meetings and QBR. Develop and drive strategic technical plans by supplier line or customer solutions. Participate in ArrowEDGE initiatives through branch training and customer calls. Organize customer engineering events.\nMeeting with suppliers to review recent customer design activity and identify compelling solutions to promote with those customers.\nAttend supplier trainings in person and via conference calls.\nWhat We're Looking For:\nTypically requires a 4-year degree (engineering preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience.\nRequires at least 2 years of experience and in-depth knowledge with system/board/engineering solutions and electronic components.\nBreadth of knowledge of electronic components.\nExperience with design engineering.\nSolves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions.\nIndependent worker; receives minimal guidance.\nActs as a resource for colleagues with less experience.\nStays up-to-date on supplier products and arrow design services in order to act as a technical-marketing advisor to customers.\nWork Arrangement: Hybrid: 1 day in office/4 days work on the road or from home in the Maryland market.\nWhat's In It For You:\nAt Arrow, we recognize that financial rewards and great benefits are important aspects of an ideal job.
