We are recruiting to hire an energetic and enthusiastic individual for a Component Quality Inspector I role in Peabody, MA. Reporting to the Component Quality Supervisor, this candidate will be working in a fast-paced electronics distribution center/laboratory and will support the activities of the Converge Trading Business Unit.\nThe Component Quality Inspector provides ongoing support to our customers by ensuring prompt, accurate and efficient delivery and receipt of all sales and purchase orders. Verifies records on all incoming and outgoing shipments. Data Entry using a PC to process orders and log inventory.\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nCompares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify accuracy of information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, and or other records.\nExtract items from staging rack and counts items to verify packaging and shipping accordingly.\nAffixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons.\nPerforms inbound inspection of electronic components by using basic inspection equipment (microscope), counting and picking/packing equipment.\nUses excel-based inspection checklists to enter results of visual inspection.\nUnpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Routes items to proper departments.\nExamines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.\nData entry on the PC to include processing orders and logging in/out inventory.\nCreates shipping labels for outbound shipments.\nReviews compliance and shipping documents.\nAccepts additional responsibilities as assigned.\nWhat We Are Looking For:\n2 years of relevant work experience\nAbility to always maintain confidentiality and professionalism.\nMust have strong attention to detail for written documentation.\nAbility to follow written directions.\nBasic knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel).\nReading, writing, and understanding of English language.\nThis position involves standing and or walking for considerable lengths of time. Bending to floor level is required.
