To learn more - visit converge.com\nSourcing Manager, Excess Inventory - EMEA\nABOUT THE ROLE\nAs an Sourcing Manager, Excess Inventory - EMEA you will be responsible for developing and managing strategic supply channels while driving asset recovery initiatives, purchasing activities, and sourcing strategies across the EMEA region.\nThis role combines the commercial and relationship-building aspects of Asset Recovery Services with the hands-on responsibilities of a Strategic Sourcing Manager/Buyer. You will work closely with OEMs, EMS providers, distributors, and suppliers to identify, secure, and maximize trading opportunities while strengthening Converge's supply chain capabilities.\nWHAT WILL YOU DO?\nDevelop and execute strategic sourcing, procurement, and asset recovery initiatives across the EMEA region.\nBuild, manage, and grow relationships with OEM, EMS, distributor, and supplier partners to identify new sourcing and asset opportunities.\nProspect for new accounts while developing existing customer and supplier relationships to generate additional supply channels and revenue streams.\nLead and mentor a team, providing direction, coaching, and performance management.\nCreate supply and sales opportunities through Converge systems, market intelligence, and industry relationships.\nSource and purchase electronic components and excess inventory while ensuring competitive pricing and business margins.\nIdentify and evaluate new purchasing opportunities, surplus inventories, and asset recovery programs.\nNegotiate commercial agreements, purchase orders, and supplier contracts while maintaining profitability and risk management standards.\nDevelop and implement sourcing strategies that support customer demand, inventory optimization, and business growth objectives.\nMonitor market conditions, supply chain trends, pricing movements, lifecycle changes, and industry developments.\nWork collaboratively with internal sales, purchasing, quality, and operations teams to maximize buy-side and sell-side opportunities.\nMaintain accurate CRM and sourcing database records, including supplier activity, opportunities, and purchasing forecasts.\nIdentify and onboard new suppliers and customers to expand Converge's trading network.\nSupport business planning through reporting, forecasting, and purchasing performance metrics.\nWHO YOU ARE:\nA commercially driven sourcing, procurement, or asset recovery professional with a passion for the electronics industry.\nHighly motivated, self-directed, and results-oriented with a strong entrepreneurial mindset.\nMinimum 5 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, procurement, asset recovery, or supply chain management within the electronics industry.\nStrong understanding of electronic component markets, industry cycles, excess inventory management, and supply chain dynamics.\nProven experience building and managing relationships with OEMs, EMS providers, distributors, suppliers, and customers.\nExperienced people leader with strong team management and coaching capabilities.\nSkilled negotiator with the ability to identify opportunities and close profitable deals.\nExperience with AI tools and technologies is considered an advantage.\nFluent in English and German or Dutch.\nAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).\nExcellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.\nProactive, collaborative, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.\nWilling to travel internationally as business needs require.\nThis revised version positions the role as a balanced combination of ARS Manager (40-50%) and Strategic Sourcing Manager/Buyer (50-60%), making it attractive to candidates coming from procurement, sourcing, purchasing, or electronic component trading backgrounds.\nWHAT WE OFFER?\nDriven by Respect, Growth, and Pride, the culture at Converge speaks about doing things together as a team, in the right way, supporting each other.
