This is a non-union, Monday through Friday, 2nd shift position from 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, with opportunities for overtime.\nThe Press Operator is responsible for operating press equipment, completing daily setup and calibration, monitoring print quality, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and on time. This role offers strong growth potential and opportunities for advancement.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nWork from work orders, schedules, first articles, database files, ticket tab visuals, written instructions, and verbal direction.\nSupport online service calls with technical support as needed.\nChange databases, blankets, impression paper, PIP, stock, and complete first transfer and color calibration daily.\nCheck color and load the press with the required type, size, and color of paper stock.\nClean bids, ink reservoirs, press parts, and cylinders.\nCheck registration and select the best print modes based on color and speed requirements.\nTroubleshoot press issues, take corrective action, make repairs, or replace parts as needed.\nNotify supervision of equipment issues, production difficulties, or unusual conditions.\nDetect and report faulty equipment, defective materials, improper operations, and quality concerns.\nFollow up on equipment repairs and use phone support as needed.\nExercise proper care in the use of tools, equipment, and materials.\nControl waste, spoilage, and printing errors.\nCoordinate information with other shift operations.\nComplete work in a timely manner and within expected time estimates.\nAdvise press room management of potential issues.\nFollow all prescribed safety rules, regulations, company policies, and departmental procedures.\nMaintain the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.\nDevelop and share knowledge of press operations with crew members and departmental personnel.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nRequirements\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nPrior operations, manufacturing, production, or press experience preferred.\nExcellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.\nAbility to follow written and verbal instructions.\nMust be able to read, write, and speak English.\nMust be open to working overtime and different shifts as needed.\nStrong troubleshooting skills and willingness to learn press operations.\nDependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nPhysical Requirements / Working Conditions\nMust be comfortable working in a manufacturing and production environment.\nMust be able to lift 20 to 40 lbs. occasionally.\nMay be required to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the shift.\nSpecific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.\nThe noise level in the work environment may require hearing protection.\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role.\nDiversity and Inclusion Statement\nAt Arrow International, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where all individuals are valued and respected.
