This dynamic position is responsible for how Salesforce is built, how its data is structured, how it connects to our other systems, and how much value the business gets from it. You will work side by side with existing Salesforce Administrators and Developers who bring deep knowledge of Arrow's business, users, and processes, and together you will find and put to work the Salesforce capabilities we already pay for but underuse.\nPrimary Roles and Responsibilities\nThe Platform\nPartner with the Director of IT to shape the Salesforce roadmap and make technical decisions.\nMaintain the health of the Salesforce org, including release management, sandbox strategy, technical debt, performance, and the security model.\nReview configuration and code changes, including work done by Administrators, Developers, and other team members.\nPartner with Finance, Operations, Sales/Marketing, and Communications to translate business needs into platform solutions.\nThe Technology\nDesign and build custom solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, and APIs.\nDesign, build, and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other systems, including SAP S/4HANA, Snowflake, and proprietary Arrow applications.\nEvaluate build-versus-configure-versus-buy decisions and recommend the right approach.\nSupport new and updated integrations with Salesforce.\nThe Data\nDefine and maintain the data model, object relationships, and field standards.\nSet data quality, governance, deduplication, and migration practices.\nEnsure Salesforce data flows reliably to and from reporting and enterprise systems.\nWork with the BI and data engineering teams so Salesforce data is trustworthy for analytics.\nBest Practices\nContribute to development, naming, documentation, testing, and deployment standards, and help the team follow them.\nMaintain change control for Salesforce, including source control and CI/CD where appropriate.\nMaintain a clear separation of duties for security, permissions, and production changes.\nDocument the platform, including architecture, integrations, automations, and decisions.\nUnderused Capabilities\nAudit current feature usage and licensing against what Arrow already owns.\nIdentify, prioritize, and stand up capabilities the business is not yet using.\nBuild the business case for each capability, then deliver it, train users, and measure adoption.\nStay current on Salesforce releases and recommend what is worth adopting.\nThe Team\nMentor existing Salesforce Administrators and Developers as they grow into deeper development, architecture, and platform strategy.\nShare knowledge so platform expertise is not concentrated in one person.\nPartner with other IT resources to build a broader bench of people who can contribute to the platform.\nOther duties as assigned by management.\nRequirements\nRequired Experience\nMinimum of 4 years of hands-on Salesforce experience, including 2 years in a developer role.\nStrong Apex, SOQL/SOSL, Lightning Web Components, and Flow experience.\nProven experience designing and building integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, or ETL tools.\nSolid grasp of Salesforce data modeling, security architecture, and data migration.\nWorking knowledge of SQL and relational databases.\nExperience with deployment tooling and source control (for example Salesforce DX, Git, and a CI/CD pipeline).\nTrack record of defining and enforcing development standards, code review, and governance.\nAbility to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders and win their buy-in.\nPreferred Experience and Education\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience\nSalesforce Platform Developer I certification; Platform Developer II or an architect certification a plus.\nExperience integrating Salesforce with SAP (S/4HANA), Snowflake, or AS400/legacy systems.\nExperience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, or Data Cloud.\nExperience supporting a platform through an ERP migration.\nHands-on experience with Agentforce and other Salesforce AI capabilities (for example Einstein and generative AI features).\nFamiliarity with Power BI, Tableau, or other BI tools consuming Salesforce data.\nBackground in a regulated industry such as gaming, finance, or nonprofit fundraising.\nDiversity and Inclusion Statement\nAt Arrow International, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where all individuals are valued and respected.
