From hand-held tablet devices to Las Vegas style gaming cabinets, our array of products is diverse and advanced. Interface with Game/System Development and other Product Development staff to resolve issues in a timely manner. Also responsible for having proficient understanding of the software test methodologies and procedures in order to ensure testing efficiency and high level of quality. Will participate in mentoring Associate SQA Engineers. Organize and lead inter-departmental project meetings.\nSalary range commensurate with experience. This role provides competitive benefits including an annual performance bonus, profit sharing program, and a 401K with company match.\nPrimary Roles and Responsibilities\nDevelop, hold reviews, and execute test plans and test scripts for new and existing game themes and systems\nFollow all the SQA Work Instructions daily\nSubmit and track any product issues found during testing to ensure that they are resolved\nLead software defect scrub meetings and SQA Milestone hand-off meetings with Development\nUtilize all required databases for SQA functions and testing\nProvide input to the weekly project status report for each assigned project\nProvide detailed Completion Report at the end of each project\nParticipate and provide input during root cause analysis phase\nInterface with other members of Product Development to effectively communicate and resolve all reported issues in a timely manner before the gaming product is released\nProficient understanding of software test methodologies/procedures and the overall product development lifecycle\nReproduce issues, when necessary, in order to assist software development in resolving issues\nResponsible for project escalations for each assigned project\nOther Duties and Responsibilities\nAssist the SQA Department on special projects\nIntroduce process improvement initiatives\nEstablish key contacts with upstream organizations that have a direct impact on SQA\nMentor new Associate SQA Engineers on assigned projects\nRequirements\nExperience and Education\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science preferred\n3 - 5 years of relevant SQA work experience\nAcademic and/or working knowledge of Visual Studio\nAcademic and/or work experience with C and/or C++\nAcademic and/or proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook\nBasic knowledge of the gaming industry\nPreferred Skills\nWorking knowledge of computer operation and principles of computer hardware\nWorking knowledge or experience with TestRails\nWorking knowledge or experience with the JIRA Defect Management tool\nWorking knowledge of real-time embedded systems\nWorking knowledge of Agile methodologies\nKnowledge or experience with Perl or other shell scripting languages a plus\nExcellent written and oral communication skills\nAbility to communicate and collaborate with other team members\nAbility to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment\nDetail-oriented and organized\nCapable of providing input and potential solutions to identified issues\nAbility to work with limited supervision\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:\nVision:\nClose vision\nDepth perception\nAbility to adjust focus\nPeripheral vision\nAbility to distinguish colors\nPhysical Requirements:\nStand for long periods of time\nExtensive time in front of LCD’s and Electronic Gaming Machine screens\nRepetitive motion to open heavy Electronic Gaming Machine doors\nWork Conditions:\nThe ability to move between projects with little notice and the ability to adapt quickly\nOvertime and weekend hours may be required to meet project schedules\nLimited travel may be required\nThe physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
