Arrow focuses on providing innovative design, quality craftsmanship, and exceptional customer service.\nGroup Division:\nAt Arrow Engineered Products, we design and manufacture turnkey solutions for a wide range of customers with needs in nuclear, chemical mixing, heat exchanger, and autoclave systems, including fuel storage and various custom-designed pressure and non-pressure systems, all in compliance with ASME, PED, ULC, and API certified design criteria.\nCompensation Range: $90,000 up to $110,000 annually\nPosition Summary:\nA Mechanical Project Engineer oversees the planning, execution, and successful completion of engineering projects in the nuclear & agriculture industries as well as other industries. Their role combines technical expertise with strong leadership and project management skills. This role is essential for ensuring that complex engineering projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.\n Primary Responsibilities:\nManages a team responsible for the design and implementation of manufacturing processes, equipment, or plants.\nResponsible for operational excellence via efficient plant design.\nEnsures continuous improvement in process, cost, quality, and production.\nManages all engineering projects and resolves engineering problems.\nFamiliar with a variety of the fabrication field's concepts, practices, and procedures.\nRelies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.\nLeads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.\nProvides technical leadership in directing the efforts of cross functional engineering team in the development and release of all relevant engineering deliverables in compliance with the product development process and/or customer expectations.\nEnsures engineering timing plans, defect / issues list, risk assessments, lessons learned are created and maintained and provides engineering status for project reviews according to program timing for all assigned projects.\nModifying design of existing plant layout based on internal/external customer requirements.\nInitiating and driving justification for upgrades to processing, equipment and WIP, to enhance performance of system and value to the customer.\nProvide expertise in industrial engineering and process design to other departments.\nUnderstanding of the concepts of synchronous manufacturing and lean production manufacturing methodologies and the ability to formulate and implement a tactical plan.\nParticipates in Continuous Improvement and assists in its implementation on an ongoing basis implementing lean manufacturing principles to improve plant productivity.\nAssists in the commissioning of new plants/ lines equipment, and other systems to ensure that the introduction into the production facility is managed efficiently and with minimum disruptions.\nFollows safe work procedures; Uses appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE); Uses workplace tools and equipment as instructed; Reports workplace hazards, injuries, and illness as soon as possible following event.\nComply with duties and responsibilities as per the Occupational Health and Safety Act and ensures corrective action is taken when violations occur.\nFollows and comply with all Operational Procedures and policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Quality and Environment programs (i.e. IATF, ISO 14001)\nPerforms other duties as necessary for completion of projects and achievement of departmental goals Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives. Ensures that facilities are in full compliance with all safety regulations.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nRequires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 8-10 years of experience in the field or in a related area.\nIn depth knowledge of process improvement tools, product design techniques, mechanical drawing standards and GD&T\nPrior experience with metal cutting, forming, welding (manual and robotic) and machining.\nPrior experience with the ASME standards and nuclear projects\nKnowledge of Lean techniques\nAbility to travel if required.\nProficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar).\nEducational Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
