Arrow focuses on providing innovative design, quality craftsmanship, and exceptional customer service.\nGroup Division:\nAt Arrow Engineered Products, we design and manufacture turnkey solutions for a wide range of customers with needs in nuclear, chemical mixing, heat exchanger, and autoclave systems, including fuel storage and various custom-designed pressure and non-pressure systems, all in compliance with ASME, PED, ULC, and API certified design criteria.\nCompensation Range: $90,000 - 110,000 annually\nResponsibilities include:\nSupervise and coordinate daily production activities within the welding and fabrication shop. \nLead shop floor personnel to ensure production schedules, quality standards, and delivery targets are achieved. \nAssign work orders and manpower based on production priorities, employee skillsets, and operational requirements. \nEnsure all required materials, drawings, tooling, and work instructions are available prior to job start-up. \nMonitor workflow and production performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks or operational issues as they arise. \nCommunicate effectively with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Scheduling departments regarding production concerns, material shortages, drawing revisions, and lead times. \nPromote and enforce a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.\nConduct daily supervision activities including attendance management, scheduling, overtime allocation, vacation coordination, and shift coverage. \nProvide coaching, training, and performance feedback to employees to support skill development and accountability. \nParticipate in employee performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and corrective action processes in coordination with Human Resources. \nSupport onboarding and training of new employees on shop procedures, welding standards, equipment operation, and safe work practices. \nMonitor quality throughout fabrication and welding processes to ensure compliance with customer specifications, welding procedures, and company standards. \nAssist with inspection activities including dimensional verification, weld quality checks, and completion of required production documentation. \nSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to productivity, workflow efficiency, quality, on-time delivery, and reduction of rework and overtime. \nReview and maintain production records, time and attendance reporting, and other operational documentation as required. \nLead by example in maintaining professionalism, teamwork, and a positive shop culture.\nRequired Skills & Expertise:\nRequired:\nMinimum 5 years of supervisory experience within a manufacturing, fabrication, or welding environment. \nPrevious experience managing employee relations, attendance, performance management, and disciplinary actions. \nAbility to read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints from CAD systems. \nStrong understanding of welding and fabrication processes in a custom manufacturing environment. \nAbility to prioritize work and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced production setting. \nStrong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. \nComfortable leading day-to-day shop floor operations independently.\nAssets:\nPrevious experience in a custom fabrication or weld shop environment. \nKnowledge of MRP/ERP systems and visual manufacturing processes.\nExperience with corrective actions, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. \nFamiliarity with ASME codes, N299 requirements \nHands-on welding or metal fabrication experience considered an asset.\nEquipment/ Tools/ Technology Used:\nVisual Manufacturing ERP\nPhysical Demands:\nPhysical Effort:\nWalking, standing, sitting, and repetitive hand / wrist / finger movements using keyboard on computer system\nPhysical Environment: \nOffice and Industrial environment: Noise, Weld fumes, weld flash, machining fumes, oils / dust, paint fumes, degreasers/grease, compressed gasses and metal filings\nSensory Attention: \nAttention to detailed drawings relating to the product being produced \nConstant awareness that manufacturing processes meet customer specifications \nAwareness toward safety compliance and issues\nMental Stress: \nPressure to meet timelines/ deadlines \nDealing with difficult people (employees, customers, co-workers) \nOrganizational attitudes and behaviors \nMedium, level of stress\nWhat We Offer -
