Arrow focuses on providing innovative design, quality craftsmanship, and exceptional customer service.\nWage Range: $65,000 up to $90,000 annually\nPosition Summary:\nThe objective of the Production Supervisor position is to lead team members directly reporting to them, as well as those with a dotted line in the production area(s) under their responsibility, ensuring their work areas are equipped with the necessary resources, materials, information, and services from support areas.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nPlan, organize, and control production work, including the timely setup of equipment.\nResponsible for communicating with other functions and/or departments to address issues that may surface, such as a shortage in inventory, short lead times, incomplete or inaccurate work instructions, etc.\nOverall responsibility for quality, productivity, delivery performance, and customer satisfaction\nDelegate work orders to optimize productivity and employee capabilities.\nStaff the manufacturing function (prepare job descriptions, make hiring decisions, and deploy resources) to meet production requirements\nLead by providing clear direction on priorities and communicating performance expectations.\nResponsible for training or overseeing the training of employees in the use of equipment or production techniques.\nResponsible for providing a safe work environment and promoting safe work habits in all employees.\nResponsible for monitoring staffing levels, ensuring proper labor complements, and adjusting accordingly.\nSupervision of staff scheduling to include work assignments/rotations, and employee training.\nVacations, employee breaks, overtime assignments, back-up for absent employees, shift rotations.\nCoordination of work activities with other departments.\nActively leads all employee performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.\nAssess the skills of hourly employee performance by defining performance expectations, measuring results, and giving feedback and coaching.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives,s including activities related to: On Time Delivery, Lean Manufacturing, Health & Safety, Employee Performance, Quality, Overtime, and Housekeeping (5S) throughout the facility.\nResponsible for ensuring all quality standards are adhered to in our area of responsibility.\nEnsure and promote a safe working environment by abiding by and ensuring employees follow safety regulations, policies, and procedures.\nAssist staff in resolving complex operational problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality (including continuous improvement).\nResponsible for ensuring compliance with company policy and implementing progressive discipline, when necessary, with the assistance of HR.\nConduct interviews, employee performance appraisals, and associated skills matrix, and orientation procedures as required throughout the shop floor, and coordinate with functional groups as required to provide a holistic view of the person’s performance.\nPrepare production and other related reports.\nReview and revise the Time & Attendance system daily (attendance, sick leave, and vacation)\nMeasurement of piece parts and weldment parts, both in process and as final assemblies,s as required.\nDocumentation of measurements, material test reports, and all other deemed necessary (Initial Sample Reports, First Article Inspection Reports, etc.)\nEducational Requirements:\nHigh school Education/post-secondary or Equivalent, or years of experience combined with education, designations, and certification.\nPrior Supervisory experience, ideally in an ISO Certified environment.\n5-7 years’ experience supervising people is considered an asset.\n7-10 years of background experience in a production environment is considered an asset.\nRequired Skills & Expertise:\nDemonstrated leadership skills and business acumen.\nBroad manufacturing experience, preferably in a metal fabrication environment\nKnowledge of production processes, measurement & inspection procedures, production planning and control, and budget process.\nKnowledge of MS Office and Visual\nAbility to supervise and lead a diverse group of people.\nStrong verbal and written communication and conflict-resolution skills\nExperienced and knowledgeable in Safety and Health systems\nA high degree of understanding of manufacturing systems.\nAbility to drive employee engagement and team-oriented operations focused on goal alignment.\nAbility to read and comprehend engineered schematics and detailed blueprints.\nStrong experience with Lean Manufacturing principles, concepts, and experience\nGood situational awareness.\nWhat We Offer -
