This position will support one of our Government clients in Arlington, VA.\nResponsibilities\nApply advanced analytical skills and technical resources at the tactical levels and implement infrastructure solutions supporting command decision making and execution of mission requirements.\nPerform large scale configuration management and deployment across Windows, MacOS, Linux/Unix, and other operating systems and virtual environments to support the TEN infrastructure.\nSupport the implementation of new technologies and equipment in the lab environment.\nProvide ongoing systems administration, technical support, upgrades, patching and troubleshooting services.\nMonitor RedHat platforms security and health, create and maintain reports of findings daily\nCreate next-generation application platform automation solutions utilizing RedHat Openshift, RedHat Ansible automation, Docker, Kubernetes, and Podman.\nIntegrate and configure COTS, GOTS, and third-party applications into RedHat Openshift and demonstrate ability to manage, maintain and patch containerized applications.\nCreate and support development of automation solutions for deployment of systems and applications to virtual and physical devices using RedHat Openshift, RedHat Ansible Tower, and RedHat Satellite.\nPerform implementation of granular access control, and monitor systems for acceptable performance and user accessibility, establish back-ups, and monitor systems security.\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex storage problems across the enterprise related to storage and replication strategies across local and wide area networks, monitor channels for storage-related network and system issues and remediate them as they occur.\nExamine and identify efficiencies that can be made to existing procedures, with approval from the customer.\nManage assigned project components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.\nAdvise and provide insight on development of lab standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies.\nEmploy security concepts, theories, insights, tools and methodologies to mitigate system weaknesses and vulnerabilities.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering or related degree or HS Diploma and 7+ years lab management or systems administration experience.\n5+ years of directly relevant experience as a Linux System Administrator.\n2+ years MacOS and iOS experience.\nMust be able to work collaboratively across physical locations.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with writing technical procedures and standard operating procedures.\nVirtualization automation and optimization.\nExperience with multiple operating systems to include Linux/Unix, Windows, MacOS.\nDoD 8140.01 IAT Level II","description_format":"text","description_chars":3097,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":5,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["National Security","Information Security","IT Consulting & Digital Transformation","Custom Software Development"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-10T20:17:15Z"}],"liveness":{"score":25,"band":"fade","label":"Fading","p_open":1,"p_active":0.453,"p_room":0.55,"age_days":41,"expected_fill_days":39,"reasons":["conf:13","stale_co","win:tail"],"computed_at":"2026-09-28T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/arsiem-lab-manager-iii","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/arsiem-lab-manager-iii.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-28T22:09:20Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":168,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":4832,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-09-29T00:00:00Z"}}}
