This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of data engineering and a proven track record of leading data projects in a fast-paced environment. \nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, build, and maintain scalable and robust data pipelines using SQL and Python, and leveraging any of the following: Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Apache Airflow and Pyspark.\nLead the integration of complex data systems and ensure consistency and accuracy of data across multiple platforms.\nImplement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices for data pipelines to improve efficiency and quality of data processing.\nWork closely with data architects, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical implementations.\nOversee and manage a team of data engineers, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure high-quality project deliverables.\nDevelop and enforce best practices in data governance, security, and compliance within the organisation.\nOptimise data retrieval and develop dashboards and reports for business teams.\nContinuously evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance the capabilities of the data engineering function.\n\nQualifications\nBachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.\n3+ years of industry experience in data engineering with a strong technical proficiency in SQL, Python, and big data technologies.\nExpertise in building scalable data workflows using cloud-native orchestration tools and distributed data processing frameworks.\nDemonstrated experience with Infrastructure as Code tooling such as Terraform\nSolid understanding of CI/CD principles and DevOps/DevSecOps practices.\nProven leadership skills and experience managing data engineering teams.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work with ambiguity.\nProficient in leveraging AI-assisted workflows to optimise task efficiency.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nExcellent understanding of data architecture involving data mesh, data lake, data warehouse and data lakehouse.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCertifications in Azure, AWS, or GCP.\nCertifications in Databricks, Snowflake or similar technologies.\nExperience in the leading large scale data engineering projects.\nWorking Conditions\nHybrid work arrangement: two-three days per week working from the office","description_format":"text","description_chars":3536,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":3,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Hybrid work"],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"United Kingdom","iso":"GB","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Management Consulting","Digital Marketing","AI Consulting & Integration","Analytics & BI Consulting"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-05-01T14:29:59Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"GB","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"Licensed UK visa sponsor (Skilled Worker, Senior or Specialist Worker)","filings_12m":null,"filings_prev_12m":null,"green_card_filings_12m":null,"median_offered_wage_usd":null,"route":"Skilled Worker;
