For more information visit www.artemisgoldinc.com.\nReporting to the Supervisor - Infrastructure, the Journeyperson Electrician is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable and effective operation & maintenance of electrical devices and systems in a mining and mineral processing environment. Execute preventative and corrective maintenance, installation / removal of field electrical devices and systems. Electrical support for mineral crushing and processing operations, maintenance, production & engineering teams.\nLocation: Blackwater Mine site - located 160 km southwest of Prince George, BC.\nSchedule: Two (2) Weeks On - Two (2) Weeks Off Rotation\nEmployment Type: Permanent\nResponsibilities\nUtilize domain knowledge to assist in Root Cause Analysis, process improvement and post incident investigations.\nEnsure statutory systems are maintained, audited and treated according to the relevant legislation. \nEnsure compliance with change management procedures with bridge logs and registers kept up to date and audited regularly.\nSupervise execution of routine preventative maintenance, checks, and audits.\nProvide technical support, guidance and coaching to site personnel on best practice and technical matters related to electrical systems and installations in an open pit mining environment.\nConduct performance evaluations to identify operational limitations and initiate steps to enhance system performance.\nMaintain and utilize Preventative maintenance planning techniques.\nPropose, prepare and submit regular feedback on work orders resulting from maintenance activities in an effort to improve maintenance plans, records and task lists. \nMaintain accurate documentation, drawings, change maintenance etc.\nEnsure critical spares are available to maintain continuous operations.\nProject management of minor capital projects.\nWork closely with maintenance, production & engineering teams to achieve common goals\nIdentify & execute minor improvement projects.\nEnsure work is following company HSE policies and procedures, quality, schedule, budget, security, industry standards and best practices.\nDemonstrate continuous improvement to enhance operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes.\nPerform other duties as required\nQualifications\nMinimum qualifications of: - Electrical Red Seal Journeyperson Trade Certificate\nA thorough understanding of: - Electrical systems in an open pit mining environment\n - M421 Use of Electricity in Mines\n - Canadian Electrical Code\nExperience in supervision and mentoring of personnel including apprentices.\nDual Ticketed Electrician and Instrumentation considered an asset.\nGood interpersonal skills.\nExcellent organization and planning skills.\nProactive and ability to work independently.\nProvide quality, detail-oriented safety driven results\nGood oral and written communication skills\nComputer literate and advanced skills in the Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, MS Project, PowerPoint, Outlook)\nWorking knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)\nSolid computer hardware and software administrative skills.\nValid driver’s license.\nPreferred Skills\nAbility to work at a remote location camp on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation\nComfortable working and living in close quarters with the team\nAbility to maintain high levels of performance over 12-hour shift\nSelf-motivated, ability to work with minimal supervision.\nAbility to lift/move up to 50lbs throughout a work shift \nAbility to work in extreme weather conditions\nBenefits\nPaid Time Off\nRRSP Matching\nExtended Health, Dental & Vision Care \nDisability Insurance\nLife Insurance\nEmployee Assistance Program\nCognitive Behavioural Therapy Program\nWe are an equal opportunity employer committed to equal employment opportunity without discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, religion, national origin, status, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital or domestic/civil partnership status, or any other basis protected by law.
