For more information visit www.artemisgoldinc.com.\nReporting to the Supervisor - Water Treatment, the Operator - Water Treatment is responsible for operating and maintaining water treatment systems specific to the needs of the operations.\nLocation: Blackwater Mine site\nSchedule: Two (2) Weeks On - Two (2) Weeks Off Rotation\nEmployment Type: Permanent\nResponsibilities\nDemonstrate strong safety leadership by adhering to and enforcing BW Gold safety standards, procedures, and systems.\nOperate and monitor water treatment systems including reactors, filtration units, chemical dosing systems, and reclaim systems.\nConduct routine water sampling and analysis; adjust treatment processes based on results to meet water quality targets.\nPerform data analysis and trending of water quality, flows, and system performance to support operational decisions and optimization.\nMonitor site-wide water systems, including ponds, tanks, and storage facilities, and support overall water balance management.\nExecute and follow water management system procedures, including water transfer plans, pond level management, and contingency actions.\nOperate and inspect pumping and distribution systems, including pumps, pipelines, valves, and sumps.\nVerify flow paths, line routing, and isolation points prior to initiating water transfer activities.\nPerform routine inspections of water infrastructure and identify/report abnormal conditions such as leaks, pressure loss, or water quality issues.\nSafely handle, store, and use treatment chemicals in accordance with site procedures and regulatory requirements.\nRespond to operational upsets including pump failures, line breaks, and water quality exceedances; implement containment and escalation procedures as required.\nMaintain accurate records of water volumes, pump hours, chemical usage, and water quality data.\nCoordinate with Mining, Environmental, Infrastructure and Processing teams to ensure water meets recycle and discharge requirements.\nCommunicate operational issues and system changes effectively to supervisors and relevant stakeholders.\nParticipate in required training and demonstrate competency in water management systems and procedures\nQualifications\n2 years of experience in water treatment or sewage treatment plants, with processing/industrial water treatment experience prefeed\nLevel I Water Treatment Certification would be considered an asset. \nStrong mechanical aptitude and trouble shooting skills\nAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.\n\nEffective communication skills, both verbal and written.\n\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.\n\nAbility to work at a remote location camp on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation.\n\nComfortable working and living in close quarters with the team.\n\nAbility to maintain high levels of performance over 12-hour shift.\n\nAbility to lift/move up to 50lbs throughout a work shift.\n\nAbility to work in extreme weather conditions.\n\nAbility to work night shift.\n\nBenefits\nPaid Time Off\nRRSP Matching\nExtended Health, Dental & Vision Care \nDisability Insurance\nLife Insurance\nEmployee Assistance Program\nCognitive Behavioural Therapy Program\nWe are an equal opportunity employer committed to equal employment opportunity without discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, religion, national origin, status, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital or domestic/civil partnership status, or any other basis protected by law.
