For more information visit www.artemisgoldinc.com.\nReporting to the Manager - Health, Safety & Security, the Superintendent - Health & Safety is responsible for leading the implementation and sustainment of the Blackwater Mine Health and Safety Management Program, including critical risk standards across the mine site.\nLocation: Blackwater Mine Site\nSchedule: Two (2) Weeks On - Two (2) Weeks Off Rotation\nResponsibilities\nAssist the Manager of Safety in coordinating the Safety department in providing the appropriate training and safety guidance to all employees in all departments.\nDemonstrate effective safety leadership by promoting and enforcing BW Golds safety standards, procedures, and safety systems. \nProvide leadership, coaching and mentorship to the safety supervisors, safety advisors and safety trainees within the department.\nRegularly audit and inspect the operation for compliance with the HSRC for Mines in BC, Regulations, and company policies / procedures.\nAudit the workplace, identify hazards, and make recommendations to reduce exposure to the workforce.\nOversee the inherent programs i.e., Hazard/ Risk Safety System, Safety Meetings, Event Reporting and Investigation quality, Action Management, Contractor Safety Management.\nReport to managers on the safety and health status of their departments.\nAdvise workers, supervisors, and management personnel on technical safety & health matters to include industry best practices.\nLiaise with regulatory authorities at the site level to promote safety and assist in resolving any issues of non-compliance.\nAdvise trainers on the safety and health content of training courses.\nAnalyze safety data; prepare and distribute reports.\nAssists in the maintenance and creation of safety standards, policies, and procedures.\nPrepares and facilitates health and safety related meetings and training.\nFacilitate investigations identifying root cause, contributing factors and corrective actions.\nRemains up to date on all safety-related regulations and codes.\nCoordinates the implementation of new systems or improvements to existing systems; monitors effectiveness, taking best practice principles into account (e.g., equipment, noise, and personal protective clothing, etc.)\nCoordinates with department managers and line management regarding the review and implementation of safety policies and procedures and determination of safety needs;
