Arthrex is actively searching for two students, pursuing an engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering to join the Imaging and Resection (I&R) Team in Naples, FL. The selected students will support the engineering design staff on development projects including electromechanical design of Trident Console and Synergy Power devices. Responsibilities will include designing parts and assemblies, performing design characterization and feasibility testing, constructing test fixtures and measurement methods to quantify performance and reliability of devices in benchtop setting, and evaluate options for R&D manufacturing methods for cost saving solutions on new and existing product designs. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Naples, FL facility.\nMain Objective:\nTo support engineering design staff on development projects for electromechanical devices (capital and disposables, systems, test apparatus and test methods.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nSupport various product development and prototyping across the I&R portfolio, including new and existing devices/accessories. \nDevelop mechanical, electrical, programmable fixtures, test jigs, and test methods.\nSupport console reliability and dependability testing.\nContinue operation and data management for product testing. \nAssemble, debug, and evaluate (test) engineering prototypes.\nSupport R&D project investigations. \nOther duties as assigned.\nEducation and Experience:\nEnrolled as a full-time student pursuing a bachelor's or master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a recent Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering graduate, required.
