This individual will be maintaining relationships with international and domestic transportation providers.Join our talented team at a global medical device company focused on Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™.\nHours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm EST.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nWork cross functionally with internal teams to align appropriate shipping methods, providing logistics support for intra Arthrex domestic movements and vendor coordination while obtaining the most cost-effective rates.\nManage carrier relations including freight contracts, requesting freight quotes, negotiating invoice disputes & claims\nRequest spot quotes from transportation providers.\nParticipate in quarterly business reviews with carriers, suppliers, and vendors\nCollaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and efficient transportation while maintaining cargo integrity in support of Labs, Exhibits, and Tradeshows.\nAudit SAP data to ensure quality and compliance.\nMaintain knowledge of all rules and regulations governing the movement of cargo.\nObserve strict execution and control procedures for all transportation modes (Airfreight, LTL, FTL, Ocean, small parcel etc.).\nProcess shipments in SAP and other shipping software to ensure that the shipping details such as pieces, weight, dimensions, freight charges, tracking numbers and documents are complete and accurate.\nTravel up to 10% may be required.\nTrack shipments and monitor delivery exceptions.\nAdhere to the Supplier Routing Policy and the Domestic Shipping Policy.\nRequired to work flexible hours as needed by the department.\nKnowledge:\nThorough knowledge in managing carrier relations including freight contracts, requesting freight quotes, negotiating invoice disputes & claims.\nDeepen communication skills with internal and external customers and suppliers to achieve company objectives such as freight expediting, communicating exception reporting, and changes involving critical time-sensitive pick-ups and/or deliveries.\nThorough knowledge of all rules and regulations governing the movement of cargo for all transportation modes (Airfreight, LTL, FTL, small parcel etc.).\nCollaborate with Arthrex Subsidiary and distributors to deliver solutions while maintaining high levels of quality and service.\nInvestigate and solve logistical issues encountered on a daily basis.\nThorough knowledge in SAP data to ensure quality and compliance.\nParticipate in meetings on a periodic basis to ensure actions are taken for effective logistics planning.\nAssist in quarterly business reviews with carriers, suppliers, and vendors.\nSkills:\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.\nCoachable, Team player, self-motivated/starter. Possess a high level of attention to detail. \nThorough understanding of SAP. \nCustomer Service background required. \nAbility to understand KPIs/metrics.\nStrong Microsoft Office skills preferred. Ability to work independently and effectively with internal and external customers.\nAbility to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management.\nAssist in training new hires.\nExperience managing logistics, supply chain, or operations in a regulated environment required; medical device experience is a plus.\nEducation:\nBachelors degree required with 3 years experience, preferably in Business, Supply Chain/Logistics.\nLanguage and Communication Skills:\nAbility to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management.
