This position provides leadership for manufacturing engineers responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving processes across suture needle attaching, suture assembly, automation, fixture design, and engineering change management. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building high-performing teams, driving operational excellence, and enhancing quality, throughput, and process capability within a regulated medical device manufacturing environment. This position requires a bachelors degree in engineering, 7 years of manufacturing engineering/manufacturing operations experience and 3 years supervisory or management experience. Join our talented team at a global medical device company focused on Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better. \nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nDevelop and utilize systematic and comprehensive methods and tools to accomplish objectives\nVoice of the Customer\nRequirements Flow\nUse Conditions\nEngineering Concept Generation and Selection\nProcess Development Robust Engineering\nDesign for Manufacturability, Assembly, Inspection, and Control\nProcess and Measurement Capability\nProcess Control\nDeploy techniques to “get it right” the first time\nBase conclusions on analytical methods, rational logic, and critical thinking skills\nLeverage Project Management tools to establish a plan and deliver reliable, predictable results\nSeek, identify, mitigate, and control sources of equipment, process, operator, and measurement variation\nIdentify and control through sound engineering methods and techniques process inputs, characteristics, and parameters that significantly influence process outcomes\nAcquire awareness and knowledge of new and advanced manufacturing technologies\nEnsure compliance within functional area and support the compliance objectives of the organization as a whole.\nEstablish a customer focused approach; external and internal customers\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering or closely related field or equivalent Arthrex experience required\n7 years Manufacturing Engineering/Manufacturing Operations experience required\n3 years supervisory or management experience required\nMedical Device Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.\nKnowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:\nFull working knowledge in Design for Six Sigma, and Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing Techniques. \nDemonstrates process improvement skills. \nDemonstrates strong computer skills.\nMachine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:\nKnowledge of all manufacturing machines.\nLanguage and Communication Skills:\nAbility to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management.
