The Medical Animation team in Naples, Florida is responsible for visually communicating the science behind the medical technology created at Arthrex. We are seeking an intern who is currently pursuing or has recently completed a degree in Animation to join our Medical Animation team. The selected candidate will contribute to the creation of anatomically and clinically accurate 3D models and animations that support medical education, training, and product communication. The individual will follow standards and guidelines for consistent corporate identity and will be detail oriented in the execution of their work. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Naples, FL facility.\nMain Objective:\nTo gain real-world experience creating 3D models and animation content.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nParticipate in training sessions to develop an understanding of surgical techniques, product demonstrations, camera movements, and medical product animations.\nCreate animation content by contributing to all stages of the 3D animation pipeline, from concept development through final production.\nAssist in the creation of both organic and hard-surface 3D models, including the development of associated textures and materials.\nSupport the animation team in designing, building, and optimizing interactive environments within Unreal Engine.\nEducation and Experience:\nProgress towards a college degree in Animation required. A college junior or above required. (Recent graduates must be within six months of their graduation date to qualify.)\nKnowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:\nDemonstrated proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects and Maya required.\nExperience with ZBrush, 3D Substance Painter or other 3D technologies is preferred.\nStrong understanding of human anatomy is preferred.\nBe able to follow written and verbal direction.\nMachine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:\nPC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel.
