Join our talented team at a global medical device company focused on Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™.\nMain Objective:\nTo aid the Quality Supervisor to oversee, manage and provide direction to the QA departments that will effectively and profitably meet or exceed the internal and /or external client’s expectations by providing superior quality products and service.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nResponsible for working with Design and Manufacturing Engineering to prevent quality discrepancies and help determine the root cause and drive corrective action with the guidance of Quality Engineers. This would include review of DHR, inspection, functional testing, and writing an evaluation report.\nExecutes such activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products.\nInitiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation, utilizing knowledge in engineering fields such as chemical, electrical, or mechanical. \nDevises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.\nExecutes established programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.\nExecutes developed methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.\nCompiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities. \nMay help in areas of Quality Control, Manufacturing Engineering, Metrology Process Control, Product evaluation such as customer complaints, Research and Development, and Receiving Inspection.\nEducation and Experience:\nBachelor’s degree required in an Engineering or Engineering Technology discipline. \nExperience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance position in a Medical Device Company preferred.\nKnowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:\nKnowledge of testing equipment, statistical methods, control plans.\nMachine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:\nProficiency in the use of PC and programs, particularly Excel, Word (or equivalents if changed by the Company), QAD or similar inventory software.\nReasoning Ability:\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.\nMathematical Skills:\nAbility to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.\nLanguage Skills:\nAbility to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management.
