The Service Engineering team in Santa Barbara, California (ACT) is responsible for supporting all Service-related aspects of new capital equipment launches. We are searching for a summer intern pursuing a relevant Engineering degree to support the Service Development Engineering team at ACT. The successful candidate will prepare, execute, and document deliverables with guidance from the engineering staff. The individual will conduct research on Product Lifecycle needs and will be detail oriented in the execution and documentation of these launch and/or improvement initiatives. The individual will also work within the requirements of their tasks to deliver results and communicate issues in a timely and accurate manner.\nThis internship will run from June 2027 - September 2027. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Santa, Barbara CAfacility.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nSupport new product launch readiness documentation.\nCollaborate in product improvement initiatives.\nCreate playbooks for internal best practices.\nCreate job-aides for quick knowledge transfer.\nSupport software releases/trainings/documentation.\nEducation and Experience:\nProgress towards a college degree in Engineering (BioMed, Mechanical, Electrical, other STEM) required. (Recent graduates must be within six months of their graduation date to qualify.)\nKnowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:\nBasic to intermediate computer skills. \nBe able to follow written and verbal direction.\nExperience with technical understanding, medical device, customer support, product development, product management, or project management preferred. \nMachine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:\nPC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel.
