The successful candidate will manage finished device production through the effective use of resources while adhering to the Arthrex Quality Management System and company policies and procedures. Join our talented team at a global medical device company focused on Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™.\nSecond Shift, 4:00pm - 2:30am, Monday- Thursday, Tuesday- Friday, (rotating Schedule)\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nAccountable for managing, meeting, and reporting Key Performance Indicators on Packaging operations.\nResolve work order and inventory discrepancies.\nReview master production schedule and make recommendations for schedule changes that optimize resources.\nCoordinate activities with other functional groups such as Component Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Validation and Sterilization to ensure on-time delivery.\nLiaison with Engineering and Quality Assurance in relation to non-conformances, process deviations, assembly design issues, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nHire, discipline and discharge employees with the assistance of HR.\nEnsure compliance by all employees to policies and procedures. \nMonitor personnel training & ensure documentation of required training activities is completed.\nPerform periodic performance feedback, formal performance reviews and handle disciplinary actions.\nMonitor attendance and perform time clock management.\nEducation/ Experience:\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent required\nBachelor’s degree preferred or an Associate’s degree with related experience. Non-degreed candidates with direct experience in an FDA regulated industry will be considered\n5 years of experience in manufacturing or distribution required OR 3 years of progressive manufacturing experience AND a bachelor’s degree.\n3 years of leadership experience preferred.\nExperience in medical devices or another highly regulated industry is preferred\nExperience in a Lean manufacturing environment preferred\nExperience with SAP preferred\nSkills:\nLeadership and decision making skills needed\nStrong communication, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills\nAbility to learn new systems quickly to perform most job functions\nPresentation skills required\nIntermediate Microsoft Office Skills\nAble to navigate through SAP without guidance in order to perform job functions and possesses ability to assist personnel as needed\nCritical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems\nSpecific Duties and Responsibilities:\nAssign personnel and direct workflow\nAssist employees with professional development/training\nCommunicate issues to management that could result in process delays, safety issues, or other potential loss to the company or its associates\nEnsure proper communication between shifts and crews covering production status, backorders, quality, safety and other production issues\nMonitor and execute corrective actions to reduce/eliminate scrap\nPerform Safety training for direct reports\nMaintain inventory accuracy for assigned area\nStay current with ISO/FDA and internal quality assurance policies\nKnowledge:\nExcellent verbal, written, analytical, project, research, organizational and interpersonal skills with a sharp attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously\nAbility to read and understand Bills of Material (BOMs), Routers, drawings and Work Instructions in written or graphical form\nAbility to work independently and interact with all levels of management\nReasoning Ability:\nAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions\nAbility to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables\nDiscretion/ Latitude:\nWork is performed under general direction.\nExercises minimal autonomy in determining objectives and approaches to daily tasks and projects\nReasoning Ability:\nAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
