We are searching for an intern pursuing a degree in 3D Graphics, Engineering, Computer Science or Interactive Media to support the Medical Visualization team. A successful candidate will assist in the development of art processes, marketing content, upcoming products, and medical education. The individual will follow standards and guidelines for consistent corporate identity and follow pre-established process flows. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work at least 25 hours per week at our Naples, FL facility.\nMain Objective:\nTo gain real-world experience working as a 3D Technical Artist in a corporate environment.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nExplore emerging visualization, virtual reality (VR), and augmented reality (AR) technologies to support the development of interactive 3D applications.\nCreate and refine materials, textures, and shaders for anatomical models, products, and virtual environments.\nOrganize, maintain, and optimize 3D asset and product libraries across multiple platforms and applications.\nEvaluate tools, plugins, and software development kits (SDKs) to support new features and document findings for team implementation.\nDevelop high-quality 3D visualizations of products, anatomical structures, environments, and virtual production sets.\nSupport AI-driven image and 3D asset generation workflows, content pipelines, and automation scripting efforts.\nManage and maintain digital assets within Unity, Unreal Engine, and content management systems (CMS).\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance real-time visualization, simulation, and interactive experiences.\nEducation and Experience:\nA college senior or graduate student pursuing a degree in 3D Graphics, Interactive Media, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field required. (Recent graduates must be within six months of their graduation date to qualify.)\nStrong technical aptitude with the ability to learn and apply new tools, workflows, and technologies in a fast-paced environment. \nKnowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:\nProficiency with CAD software is required.\nExperience with two or more of the following technologies is required: Unity, Unreal Engine, Autodesk Maya, Visual Studio, Omniverse, Rider, Pixyz, 3ds Max, or 3D graphics development.\nKnowledge of one or more of the following areas is required: programming, software testing, automation, scripting, 3D mathematics, or large language model (LLM) training.\nBe able to follow written and verbal direction.\nMachine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:\nPC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel.
