This position provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced human services professional to take on a leadership role while directly supporting individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.\nPosition Overview\nThe Assistant Bay Ridge Program Manager supports the Program Manager in the day-to-day operation of the Bay Ridge residential program. This position combines direct support, program coordination, staff leadership, and operational oversight to help ensure high-quality services and a safe, recovery-oriented environment for the individuals we serve.\nThe Assistant Program Manager will provide leadership coverage in the Program Manager's absence, support staff, coordinate care, assist with admissions and transitions, and help maintain compliance with agency policies and program standards.\nKey Responsibilities\nRecovery & Direct Support\nMaintain current knowledge of individuals served, including diagnoses, psychiatric and medical history, treatment plans, medications, strengths, needs, and recovery goals.\nAssist individuals in identifying, developing, and pursuing personalized recovery goals.\nAssess individuals' stages of change and utilize appropriate, person-centered interventions.\nProvide support with activities of daily living (ADLs), money management, meal planning and nutrition, shopping, cleaning, transportation, and other independent living skills.\nPromote independence, self-determination, and community integration.\nConsistently model and apply Recovery Model and trauma-informed care principles.\nProgram Leadership & Staff Supervision\nProvide leadership and supervisory coverage in the Program Manager's absence.\nEnsure appropriate staffing levels and assist with emergency and on-call coverage.\nDirect daily staff activities and provide guidance, coaching, and support.\nReview employee timesheets for accuracy and compliance with overtime requirements.\nFacilitate team meetings and ensure meeting minutes are completed and distributed.\nSupport effective communication and collaboration among program staff and other members of the treatment team.\nResidential & Operational Oversight\nMonitor the overall condition, safety, cleanliness, and functionality of program residences.\nCoordinate maintenance and operational requests as needed.\nConduct routine checks of residential environments and identify potential safety concerns.\nReport unsafe, hazardous, or otherwise unsuitable living conditions promptly.\nHelp ensure residences remain welcoming, safe, and supportive environments for individuals served.\nCare Coordination & Medication Monitoring\nCoordinate psychiatric and medical care with nurses, healthcare providers, pharmacies, and program staff.\nMonitor medication administration in accordance with agency policies and procedures.\nReview medication supplies and inspect residential medication storage areas.\nIdentify and communicate medication concerns, discrepancies, or changes to nursing staff and the Program Manager.\nSupport continuity of care and communication across providers and services.\nAdmissions, Transitions & Crisis Intervention\nAssist with referrals, admissions, new move-ins, transitions, and discharges.\nEnsure residences are appropriately prepared for new individuals entering the program.\nRecognize early warning signs of psychiatric or physical decompensation.\nUtilize appropriate crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies to promote safety and stabilization.\nAssess whether behavioral changes are related to situational stressors or potential symptom exacerbation and respond appropriately.\nCollaborate with clinical and program leadership during crisis
