Headquartered in Basel (Switzerland), Arxada employs 3,200 associates across 24 production sites and 14 R&D centers, all committed to our customers’ success.\nAs a Technical Service & Development Manager, Paint & Coatings (P&C), SEA, you will contribute in driving technical services, application development and business growth across Southeast Asia Paint & Coatings markets, with a primary focus on biocides and microbial control solutions. The role partners closely with commercial teams, strategic customers, distribution partners and global technical functions to deliver customer-focused solutions, accelerate product adoption and identify new business opportunities. As the regional technical lead for Southeast Asia, the incumbent provides technical leadership on strategic customer projects, supports regional growth initiatives and serves as a key interface between customers, Commercial, R&D, Regulatory and Product Management. This is an individual contributor role with significant regional influence and project leadership responsibilities.\nEssential Job Functions:\n· Partner with Commercial, Marketing and Product Management teams to drive business growth and strategic initiatives across Southeast Asia.\n· Lead technical support activities for strategic customers and distribution partners throughout the SEA region, providing formulation guidance, troubleshooting support and application expertise.\n· Develop and execute customer-focused technical projects that support revenue growth, new product introductions, portfolio expansion and market penetration initiatives.\n· Build strong technical relationships with key regional customers, industry influencers and distribution partners.\n· Lead regional technical initiatives and strategic customer projects that support business growth, customer retention and market expansion.\n· Identify market trends, customer challenges and emerging technologies across Southeast Asia and translate insights into innovation projects and growth opportunities.\n· Collaborate closely with Regional and Global R&D teams to support application development, technology transfer, commercialization activities and product launch programs.\n· Influence regional business strategy through technical expertise, customer insights, competitive intelligence and market knowledge.\n· Develop technical value propositions, competitive positioning, application data, technical literature and training materials to strengthen commercial effectiveness.\n· Deliver technical seminars, workshops, webinars and customer presentations to position Arxada as a trusted technical partner within the industry.\n· Support regional portfolio optimization, technology adoption and commercialization initiatives.\n· Ensure compliance with Arxada EH&S, quality, regulatory and ethical standards in all technical activities.\nBusiness Travel:\n· Regional business travel across Southeast Asia of approximately 40-60% may be required.\nFrequent customer visits, distributor engagement and participation in regional industry events are required.\nQualifications & Experience:\nBachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology, Biology, Formulation Science, Cosmetic Science, or a related discipline\n5-10 years of experience in Technical Service, Application Development, Formulation Development or R&D within Paints & Coatings, Specialty Chemicals or related industries\nExperience in Regional customer management, project leadership, commercialization support and business development across Southeast Asia\nFluency in English is required\nProficiency in Thai, Bahasa Malaysia, Bahasa Indonesia, Vietnamese, or Mandarin Chinese would be an advantage\nRegional business travel across Southeast Asia of approximately 40-60% may be required\nArxada has world class offering in two distinct areas:\nMicrobial Control Solutions (MCS) focuses on threats posed by microorganisms to people and planet through five distinct business lines including Professional Hygiene, Home & Personal Care, Wood Protection, Paints & Coatings and Material Protection.\nNutrition, Care & Environmental (NCE), meanwhile, provides materials used to manufacture composites for electronics, aerospace and other markets, as well as vitamins and nutritional ingredients, chemicals and performance intermediates, and raw materials for a wide range of high-performance applications.\nArxada is an equal opportunity employer.
