In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and improving systems and components. We expect a high level of multi-disciplinary knowledge across mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and computer science. You’ll take ownership of executing of entire projects and collaborate closely with functional teams to deliver high-quality, reliable, and cost-effective engineering solutions.\nWHAT YOU'LL DO\nExecute rapid evaluation of engineering concepts in a wide range of fields - electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, software engineering, manufacturing\n\nBuild prototypes, analyze failures, and transition successful projects into production\n\nDesign, implementation, and test of complex electro-mechanical systems\n\nHigh level system ownership with large levels of professional autonomy\n\nLead design reviews, run analysis, visit vendors, define and execute hardware test plans\n\nSupport critical hardware demonstrations with customers as needed\n\nTravel to test sites as needed\n\nUse first principles physics as a basis for every decision\n\nWear many hats\n\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nBS, MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics engineering, or Software Engineering, or related field\n\nExperience in an immersive technical project (collegiate project teams or professional settings)\n\nExperience in developing complex eletro-mechanical systems, such as robots, UAVs, wearables, high power, electric propulsion, etc\n\nAbility to read, interpret, and manipulate block diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts.\n\nStrong command of engineering first principles\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nMultiple degrees or minors in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics engineering, or Software Engineering, or related field\n\nExperience in Mechanical CAD (Solidworks, NX, Fusion 360, etc)\n\nExperience in Electrical CAD (Altium, KiCad, etc)\n\nHands-on prototyping experience (3D printing, machining, soldering, board assembly, harnessing)\n\nStrong organizational skills\n\nFamiliarity with microcontrollers, power conversion and system integration\n\nOutstanding leadership and interpersonal skills\n\nFamiliarity with designing for rugged environments\n\nExperience in characterizing circuits at both schematic and board level\n\nFamiliarity with wireless communication protocols\n\nExperience with microcontroller wired communication protocols (USB, MIPI CSI2, SPI, I2C, CAN, CANFD, UART/RS232/RS422/RS485)\n\nExperience with motor and servo drive (BLDC/Brushed motor controller design, servo control systems)\n\nPractical experience with electrical engineering tools (Oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads,
