You’ll work with modern data and automation tools to design and implement high-performance, scalable integrations between our platform and customer systems. This includes integrating with APIs, file-based systems, and RPA (Robotic Process Automation) workflows to handle scenarios where APIs aren’t available or data is locked in legacy systems. As a senior member of the engineering team, you’ll lead data projects end-to-end, ensuring our data is accurate, timely, and reliable-driving the experiences our customers depend on.\nWhat You'll Do\nArchitect, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Airbyte, Dagster, or similar frameworks.\n\nIntegrate with REST, GraphQL, and file-based APIs, as well as RPA workflows.\n\nOptimize Postgres queries and schemas for performance at scale.\n\nImplement monitoring and alerting to ensure data quality and availability.\n\nCollaborate with Product, DevOps, and QA to deliver reliable integrations quickly.\n\nDocument integration patterns and help evolve our data platform architecture.\n\nProvide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers working on data systems.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on data systems or backend integrations.\n\nExpert in SQL and proficient with Postgres optimization.\n\nHands-on experience with Airbyte, Dagster, or similar tools.\n\nStrong programming skills in Node.js or Python.\n\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments (GCP preferred).\n\nExperience with RPA tools (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism) a strong plus.\n\nClear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.\n\nNice to Have\nExperience with streaming data systems (Kafka, Pub/Sub).\n\nExposure to data governance or compliance in regulated industries.\n\nContributions to open-source data or integration tooling.\n\nWhat to Expect in the First 90 Days\nBy Day 15 - Onboarding & Environment Setup\nFully onboarded into Arya’s development environment and tooling.\n\nAccess to and understanding of existing Airbyte/Dagster pipelines, Postgres schemas, and RPA workflows.\n\nShadow a senior team member on one live deployment.\n\nShip at least 1 minor bug fix or small improvement to an existing integration.\n\nReview integration documentation and begin drafting notes on areas for improvement.\n\nBy Day 30 - Initial Contributions & Familiarity\nShip your first net-new integration (API, file-based, or RPA) into staging or production.\n\nImplement basic monitoring or alerting improvements for an existing pipeline.\n\nPartner with Product to map integration requirements for an upcoming customer.\n\nDeliver a performance analysis on at least one critical data flow and propose optimization.\n\nBegin contributing to code reviews for data-related pull requests.\n\nBy Day 60 - Ownership of Integration Scope\nFully own a subset of data integrations from development through monitoring.\n\nShip at least 1 high-impact performance improvement (e.g., reduced latency, improved throughput).\n\nDeploy an RPA-based integration into production for a customer with limited API access.\n\nDocument integration processes and edge cases for assigned systems.\n\nParticipate in customer onboarding calls to understand integration pain points.\n\nBy Day 90 - Scaling & Strategic Impact\nDesign and implement an automation to streamline integration deployment or monitoring.\n\nLead a cross-functional initiative to improve data quality or reduce integration failures by 25%+.\n\nPropose and implement schema or architecture changes to support future integrations at scale.\n\nMentor a junior engineer or new hire on Arya’s data engineering stack.\n\nPresent a “State of Data Systems” review to the engineering team, outlining current health, risks, and opportunities.\n\nOUR VALUES\nYou will thrive at Arya if you can:\n1.
