This position directly reports to the Production Supervisor and does not supervise others.\nStarting Pay & Sign-on Bonus\nThis position starts at $18.50/hour plus a $1.20 shift premium for working night shift. There is opportunity for overtime, which is time and a half. $1000.00 Sign-on bonus with the first half being paid after the first week of employment and the second half after 6 months of employment.\nShift\nThis is a night shift position working 5:50pm-6:00am (12 hour shifts) on a 2-2-3 schedule. The site runs 24/7.\nQualifications\nEducation Background:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.\nKnowledge & Experience:\nMinimum of 1 year of industry experience in a manufacturing, production, or similar environment required\nGood attendance and safety records.\nDemonstrated ability to multi-task and set-up / operate multiple machines.\nComputer skills and the ability to learn different software programs and scanners.\nKey Attributes:\nMust have a stellar work ethic and the demonstrated ability to work in a team environment as well as the ability to work independently.\nAbility to learn quickly and apply knowledge.\nStrong interpersonal skills with proven experience in working with cross functional teams, programs, or projects. \nStrengths in self-motivation, collaboration, initiative, sense of urgency, and attention to detail.\nDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with all levels within the organization. Ability and willingness to participate in and lead meetings.\nAble to implement, follow, and continuously improve safety, environmental, and health guidelines and procedures.\nThe ability to work on a high performing team creating an environment where open and honest communication is the norm.\nPossess strong analytical troubleshooting and problem resolution/solving skills.\nKey Accountabilities\nOperate various types of industrial film manufacturing and processing equipment including: Extruders, Laminators, Ovens, Deplyers, Slitters, Coaters, Mixers, and Core Slabber. Utilize PIVs (powered industrial vehicles)\n•Prepare chemical solutions and monitor chemical processes. Use instruments to test the quality of chemical products to ensure they meet standards and specifications.\n•Troubleshoot production problems or malfunctioning instruments.\n•Practice excellent safety and environmentally sound habits.\n•Maintain a clean and organized work environment that meets facility standards.\n•Ensure general quality of all work meets company standards.\n•Maintain records and interface with multiple computer software programs for purposes of material transactions, traceability, process control, on-line inspection, testing, and statistical process control.\n•Perform routine optical inspection and product quality tests according to written specifications and standards.\n•Maintain accurate logbook entries of key process and equipment events, and provide in-depth observations to process and development engineers as required.\n•Clean assigned production equipment and perform operator-level preventive maintenance (i.e. change filters, check fluid levels).\n•Communicate effectively with team members and other groups within the Celgard organization. Act as communication link with other departments when assigned.\n•Maintain training and cross-training proficiencies as required to ensure compliance in execution of daily activities and departmental expectations.\n•Train others (new and current employees) as needed.\n•Ensure breaks and lunches are taken per policy and time is not abused.\n•Support managing all data and working with Supply Chain and operations to ensure production throughput is maximized.\n•Identify areas of potential process improvement and communicate accordingly.\n•Comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices regulations\n•Maintain a professional and productive relationship with area management and co-workers.\n•Participate in cross-functional teams. Lead meetings as needed.
