will coordinate shutdown activities across multiple departments, oversee schedule execution, manage interfaces between maintenance teams and contractors, and ensure that shutdown activities meet according to approved schedules.\n\nThe role works closely with Shutdown Planners, Maintenance Supervisors, Operations, Engineering, contractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate resources, resolve execution challenges, monitor progress, and minimise schedule delays.\n\nThe successful candidate will also evaluate shutdown performance, identify opportunities for improvement, support incident investigations, and ensure that lessons learned inform future shutdown planning and execution.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nShutdown Planning and Preparation\n\nDevelop a comprehensive shutdown charter that defines the shutdown objectives, scope, timelines, responsibilities, resources, and performance expectations.\n\nCoordinate the development and review of shutdown schedules in collaboration with the Shutdown Planner and relevant departmental teams.\n\nLead scope challenge sessions to validate proposed work, eliminate unnecessary activities, identify critical tasks, and optimise shutdown duration and cost.\n\nConfirm that approved work scopes align with operational priorities, maintenance requirements, equipment criticality, and safety standards.\n\nCoordinate with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and contractors to confirm readiness before shutdown execution.\n\nEnsure that the responsible teams understand the approved schedule, work scope, resource requirements, and execution priorities.\n\nFacilitate the handover of the approved shutdown schedule to area maintenance teams, contractor supervisors, and other relevant stakeholders.\n\nIdentify potential schedule constraints, resource gaps, material shortages, and execution risks before the shutdown begins.\n\nSupport the development of contingency plans and recovery strategies to address potential delays and operational challenges.\n\nEnsure that shutdown preparation activities align with Company procedures and approved maintenance planning standards.\n\nShutdown Execution and Coordination\n\nCoordinate daily shutdown activities across maintenance, engineering, operations, and contractor teams.\n\nMonitor work progress against the approved shutdown schedule and ensure that teams complete activities within agreed timelines.\n\nLead daily shutdown progress review meetings to assess performance, identify delays, resolve constraints, and agree on corrective actions.\n\nCoordinate work interfaces between departments, contractors, and specialist service providers to minimise conflicts and improve execution efficiency.\n\nMaintain effective communication with supervisors and work teams to ensure that everyone understands daily priorities and schedule changes.\n\nWork closely with the Shutdown Planner to review progress, update schedules, and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders.\n\nIdentify critical-path activities and prioritise work that directly affects shutdown completion.\n\nEscalate schedule risks, resource constraints, technical issues, and other significant delays to the appropriate management personnel.\n\nRecommend and coordinate schedule recovery measures to minimise delays and protect production restart targets.\n\nMonitor contractor performance and ensure that contractors deliver assigned work according to approved scopes, schedules, and Company standards.\n\nEnsure that teams coordinate equipment isolation, work permits, access requirements, and other operational interfaces before executing work.\n\nPromote collaboration and accountability among all personnel involved in shutdown execution.\n\nSafety, Compliance, and Risk Management\n\nPromote a strong safety culture throughout shutdown preparation and execution.\n\nEnsure that shutdown activities comply with applicable legal requirements, Company policies, approved procedures, and site safety standards.\n\nMonitor work activities to identify unsafe conditions, procedural violations, and potential risks, and report concerns promptly to management.\n\nCoordinate with safety personnel and departmental supervisors to ensure that teams implement appropriate risk controls before starting work.\n\nVerify that relevant personnel understand their safety responsibilities, work permits, isolation requirements, and applicable risk assessments.\n\nSupport accident and incident investigations contractor performance, and emerging execution risks.\n\nIdentify the causes of schedule delays, productivity losses, cost overruns, and other shutdown performance gaps.\n\nCoordinate with the Shutdown Planner and relevant supervisors to maintain accurate and timely progress reports.\n\nProvide management with clear updates on shutdown performance, outstanding work, critical constraints, and anticipated completion dates.\n\nRecommend corrective actions to address performance shortfalls and improve shutdown delivery.\n\nMonitor the implementation and effectiveness of agreed recovery
