This Role\nThis role is responsible for coordinating and controlling shutdown and major maintenance activities, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within approved budgets, while minimizing operational risk and downtime.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop detailed shutdown and major maintenance plans for fixed plant.\nBuild integrated shutdown schedules covering labour, equipment, materials, scaffolding, cranes and contractors.\nDefine work scopes in collaboration with maintenance, reliability and operations teams.\nCoordinate pre-shutdown readiness reviews including materials, tooling, isolations and access.\nSupport shutdown execution through schedule control, progress tracking, and issue resolution.\nManage shutdown cost tracking and budget compliance.\nConduct post-shutdown reviews and capture lessons learned.\nMaintain shutdown planning standards within the CMMS (PRONTO preferred).\nProvide reliability input into shutdown planning, scope prioritization, and long-term plans.\nTrack and report on shutdown progress.\nPerform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.\n Education, Work Experience & Key Competencies\nMinimum of HND or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical or Electricals) from a recognized tertiary institution.\nMinimum of 3 years' experience in mining, mineral processing, power generation, or heavy industry, with demonstrated experience managing shutdowns.\nInspecting Engineer Certificate of Competency issued by the Mines Inspectorate Division of the Minerals Commission is desirable.\nExcellent knowledge in Maintenance Planning.\nShutdown planning skill and experience highly regarded.\nKnowledge of a standard work management system.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, particularly PowerPoint, Word, Project and Excel.\nExcellent leadership, management, and technical skills relevant to the effective provision of maintenance services.\nAbility to work in multi-cultural environment and respect other people values and
