The Manufacturing Engineer II is responsible for unit operating performance to include production, raw material usage, energy usage, quality, daily performance tacking, troubleshooting and basic unit optimization. The Manufacturing Engineer II adds direct value to the business by driving real-time unit performance in the area.\nTARGETED OUTCOMES\nDrive unit performance toward operational entitlement for yield, usage, reliability, and quality.\nAchieve annual productivity targets through effective unit performance tracking.\nAccurately track production losses and drive corrective actions.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nTroubleshoot and optimize processes based on gaps identified through daily performance monitoring.\nPartner with Production Engineering to optimize current processes, implement advanced performance-tracking tools and new technologies, and execute annual productivity plans.\nPartner with Process Engineering to initiate process improvements and address technical issues requiring advanced modeling.\nTrack and categorize daily production losses.\nDrive corrective actions in response to KPI and production performance gaps.\nSupport unit regulatory compliance.\nFacilitate Management of Change (MOC) activities originating from unit needs.\nLead or support technical training for operators.\nSupport production planning, tracking, and closing activities.\nMaintain unit Process Safety Information (PSI).\nEscalate complex technical issues to the appropriate engineering resource.\nREPORTS TO\nOperations Manager\nTEAM\nSenior Processors\nControl Room Board and Field Processors\nOperations Coordinators\nProduction Manager\nManufacturing Engineers\nProcess Specialists\nOperations Manager\nREQUIRED EXPERIENCE\nBS or MS in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.\n3 - 7 years of relevant work experience.\nStrong working knowledge of ASPEN products, heat transfer, hydraulics and related engineering principles.\nStrong knowledge of Process Safety Management.\nDESIRED CERTIFICATION\nGreen Belt Certification\nREQUIRED SKILLS\nStrong technical and analytical skills with the ability to innovate and solve complex problems.\nAbility and willingness to provide after-hours support\nStrong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to perform effectively in a highly dynamic work environment.\nAt Ascend Performance Materials, we value transparency and fairness in our hiring process.
