This growth has provided a need for a Tax Staff to help deliver personal and experienced service to our vast array of clients.\nThe Role\nAs a Tax Staff at Lucas Horsfall, you will prepare federal, state, local and special tax returns. You will carry out your outstanding project management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills. This role will be achieved in a hybrid work model (3 days per week in office) out of our Encino office location. \nKey Responsibilities\nPrepares federal, state, local and special tax returns by collecting, analyzing, and formatting financial information.\nComplies with federal, state, and local requirements by studying regulations and enforcing adherence to requirements.\nMaintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops or classes, conduct tax research, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.\nContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed, including special projects.\nPrioritizes and manages multiple projects and deadlines.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.\nMust be working towards becoming a licensed Certified Public Accountant.\nMinimum of one year of accounting experience with individual and business (corporate/partnership) tax returns.\nExcellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.\nSelf-motivator with the ability to multi-task and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines.\nA strong desire toward career advancement and goal toward future firm ownership.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working with clients in the following industries: entertainment, manufacturing, distribution, real estate, and/or construction. \nKnowledge of CCH Axcess Tax.\n\nWhat We Offer\nAs a firm, we offer great benefits, a competitive salary and tuition reimbursement for advanced education.
