You will be helping to maintain, add new features and operate our client's cloud platform that supports the entire organization for a Fortune 1000 company.\nThe ideal candidate will have strong experience in AWS or Azure DevOps and most of those associated services. The client is looking for strong Kubernetes (EKS/AKS) experience and knowledge of networking within an AWS or Azure Cloud environment. Our client is looking for someone who truly has expertise in cloud engineering and building cloud platforms.\nTerraform is heavily used for IaC and that experience is a must have. Since our client is multi-cloud and this team also supports an Azure platform, ADO experience is highly desired but not a must have. Any type of a Computer Science or Object Oriented Coding background is also a preferred skill to have.\nJob Responsibilities:\nStay up-to-date with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends related to payment systems and cloud computing.\nDesign and implement microservices-based architecture using domain-driven design principles.\nUtilize Kubernetes for container orchestration and management, ensuring scalability, reliability, and high availability of the payment system.\nImplement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms to ensure system performance and availability .\nDevelop highly resilient and highly available components for the payment system\nConduct technology evaluations and provide recommendations for new tools, technologies, and frameworks that can enhance our payment infrastructure.\nMentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.\nQualifications:\nStrong experience working within the AWS or Azure cloud as a cloud engineer or DevOps engineer.\n8+ years of experience in rearchitecting large-scale monolithic applications to cloud-native architectures.\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field\n8+ years of experience with cloud computing platforms with AWS including experience with serverless architectures, containers, and orchestration\nexperience with payment industry standards, protocols, and security best practices\nknowledge of load balancing algorithms (will be asked in interview)\nmust have worked in an AWS or Azure environment, working heavily with Kubernetes (EKS)/(AKS)\nmust know security best practices for containers and clusters\nmust know terraform
