The way we share ideas, learning, experiences, successes, and joy allows everyone to be their best at Ascendion.\nAbout the Role\nDevelop and maintain scalable back-end services, APIs, databases, and cloud/on-prem applications that support core business functionality.\nCollaborate with product, architecture, front-end, and cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing solutions.\nJob Title: Back end software development engineer\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign, develop, test, and deploy back-end applications, APIs, and microservices using Java, Python, C#, SQL, and related frameworks.\nBuild and optimize data storage and retrieval solutions using databases such as Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, or BigQuery.\nManage application deployment, monitoring, performance tuning, security hardening, and disaster recovery across cloud or on-prem environments.\nFollow architecture standards and promote best practices including test-driven development, CI/CD, code quality, and secure handling of user data.\nWork closely with customers, front-end developers, product owners, designers, and architects to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.\n4+ years of IT experience with 3+ years in software development, including hands-on expertise in at least one coding language or framework.\nStrong experience with SQL, Java, and Apache; familiarity with BigQuery is preferred.\nPractical knowledge of APIs, microservices, databases, cloud/on-prem deployment, security practices, and CI/CD workflows.\nLocation: Chennai\nWant to change the world?
