Help People Get Back to Work.\nAscension Recovery Servicesis seeking an Employment Coordinator - Workforce Developmentto build employer partnerships and connect individuals in our Return-to-Work (RTW) Program with meaningful employment and vocational training opportunities.\nThis is a highly relationship-driven role for someone who enjoys networking, connecting people with opportunities, building employer partnerships, and solving the real-world barriers that can stand between someone and sustainable employment.\nYou'll work directly with employers, workforce organizations, vocational training providers, and community partners throughout West Virginia while partnering closely with our Return-to-Work Liaisons and Peer Recovery Support Specialists.\nYour goal is simple but meaningful: turn individualized Return-to-Work plans into real employment opportunities and help participants stay successfully employed.\nThis position is based in West Virginiaand requires up totravel throughout the statefor employer meetings, workforce events, community partnerships, and site visits.\nWhat You'll Do\nIdentify and build relationships with employers interested in partnering with the Return-to-Work Program and hiring qualified participants.\nDevelop partnerships with workforce development organizations, vocational training providers, community organizations, and other employment resources.\nConduct employer outreach, meetings, and site visits to understand workforce needs and identify potential employment opportunities.\nMaintain a strong network of employer partners, current job openings, vocational training opportunities, and employment resources.\nIdentify competitive employment and training opportunities that align with participants' skills, experience, interests, and functional abilities.\nPartner with Return-to-Work Liaisons and participants to coordinate job matching and employer referrals.\nHelp participants navigate résumés, applications, interview preparation, hiring requirements, and onboarding.\nPrepare participants to understand job expectations, scheduling requirements, workplace policies, and available employment supports.\nTrack employer referrals, interviews, offers, placements, and reasons potential placements do not move forward.\nWork with employers and the RTW team to support workplace transitions, job modifications, accommodations, and clear Return-to-Work expectations when appropriate.\nHelp identify and address nonclinical barriers to employment, including transportation, scheduling, licensing, and workplace adjustment.\nSupport rapid-response planning when a participant's employment may be at risk.\nEducate employers about the RTW Program, available supports, and opportunities to partner with Ascension Recovery Services.\nMaintain professional, privacy-conscious communication between employers, participants, and the RTW team.\nTrack employer engagement, job opportunities, placements, vocational training transitions, and employment retention outcomes.\nIdentify employer recruitment gaps, placement barriers, and opportunities to strengthen the program's employment network throughout West Virginia.\nWhat We're Looking For\nWe're looking for someone who is a natural connector and relationship builder-someone who can comfortably walk into an employer, start a conversation, understand their workforce needs, and identify opportunities that can work for both the employer and our participants.\nYou should be equally comfortable supporting participants as they navigate the employment process and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team focused on long-term success.\nPreferred background includes:\nAssociate or bachelor's degree in workforce development, business, human services, vocational rehabilitation, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.\nExperience in employer relations, recruiting, job development, workforce development, vocational services, business development, community outreach, or related programs preferred.\nStrong networking and relationship-building skills.\nExcellent communication, organization, and follow-through.\nAbility to confidently engage employers, community organizations, and workforce partners.\nAbility to support participants with professionalism, respect, and discretion.\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify practical solutions to employment barriers.\nComfort tracking activity, outcomes, and program performance.\nUnderstanding of confidentiality and appropriate information-sharing practices.\nAbility to travel up to 50% throughout West Virginia.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nSuccess isn't simply developing a list of employers or job openings.\nIt's building a strong network of employers who actively engage with the program, consider qualified participants, and continue partnering with us over time.\nYou'll help create measurable outcomes through employer partnerships, job opportunities, participant referrals, successful placements, vocational training connections, and 30-, 60-, 90-, and 180-day employment retention.\nMost importantly, you'll help create the bridge between someone being ready to return to work and actually having the opportunity to do it.\nWhy Ascension Recovery Services?\nAt Ascension Recovery Services, we believe recovery can transform lives, families, and communities.\nOur work is centered on creating opportunities for individuals to build greater stability, independence, and purpose.
