Our goal is simple: make sure transportation is never the reason someone cannot access the care they need.\nWise Path - Aurora is seeking a dependable, highly organized, and mission-driven Transportation Program Supervisorto help build and lead this program in Morgantown.\nThis is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the day-to-day operation of the transportation program, including dispatch, driver scheduling, fleet management, regulatory and Medicaid broker compliance, trip documentation, and supervision of our Driver/Transporter team.\nThe ideal candidate is comfortable building systems, managing multiple priorities, holding a team accountable, and working compassionately with individuals who may be experiencing crisis or navigating early recovery.\nLocation\n900 Fairmont Road\nMorgantown, WV\nLocal travel throughout north-central West Virginia is required.\nSchedule\nPrimarily weekday business hours with flexibility to support early morning, evening, and weekend transportation needs.\nTransportation services generally operate:\nMonday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.\nWeekend transportation by appointment\nThe Transportation Program Supervisor may occasionally provide direct transportation coverage when needed.\nCompensation\n$48,000 annually\nThis position is currently funded through a West Virginia Rural Health Transformation Program grant through September 30, 2027.\n\nWhat You Will Do\nTransportation Operations\nOversee daily transportation operations, including trip requests, dispatch, driver assignments, and vehicle scheduling.\nCoordinate standing, scheduled, and same-week transportation requests.\nApply established trip-prioritization criteria when transportation demand exceeds availability.\nAccept and manage transportation assignments through Modivcare, West Virginia's Medicaid non-emergency medical transportation broker.\nEnsure transportation services meet applicable pickup, wait-time, cancellation, documentation, and reporting requirements.\nMonitor daily transportation activity and quickly resolve scheduling, staffing, or service disruptions.\nProvide backup driving coverage when necessary.\nTeam Leadership\nRecruit, onboard, train, supervise, and evaluate Driver/Transporters.\nBuild staggered driver schedules that support transportation demand while appropriately managing overtime.\nEstablish clear performance expectations for safety, professionalism, attendance, documentation, and rider experience.\nProvide ongoing coaching and accountability to transportation team members.\nMaintain appropriate staffing coverage for weekday services and weekend transportation appointments.\nDriver Compliance\nMaintain complete and current driver qualification files.\nEnsure all required documentation is submitted to Modivcare before a driver provides transportation and as part of required annual renewals.\nTrack required driver screenings, credential renewals, and training requirements.\nEnsure required documentation may include:Valid driver's license\nMotor vehicle record\nCriminal background screening\nNational and West Virginia Sex Offender Registry screening\nChild abuse registry screening\nDrug screening\nFederal exclusion screening\nRequired training certificates\n\nImmediately remove drivers from transportation duties when eligibility or compliance requirements are no longer met.\nFleet Management\nCoordinate preventive vehicle maintenance and repairs.\nMaintain vehicle registration and insurance documentation.\nCoordinate required vehicle inspections.\nEnsure vehicles contain required safety equipment and remain safe, clean, and ready for service.\nMaintain accurate fleet maintenance and inspection records.\nDocumentation and Reporting\nEnsure transportation documentation is completed accurately and timely.\nReview trip logs for completeness, including required rider signatures and transportation details.\nTrack transportation metrics including:Number of rides provided\nOn-time performance\nCompleted trips\nCancellations\nNo-shows\n\nMaintain accurate data to support monthly operational, grant, and compliance reporting.\nRider and Community Partner Support\nServe as a primary operational contact for treatment providers, referral partners, and community stakeholders.\nRespond professionally and compassionately to rider questions, concerns, and complaints.\nInvestigate transportation incidents, accidents, complaints, and service concerns.\nCoordinate escalation of significant safety or compliance issues to leadership.\nCompliance and Program Development\nDevelop and maintain standard operating procedures for transportation operations, including:Dispatch\nRider communication\nPickup and drop-off procedures\nIncident escalation\nVehicle inspections\nTrip documentation\n\nMaintain processes for employees to report suspected fraud, waste, or abuse, including confidential or anonymous reporting when appropriate.\nEscalate and report compliance concerns in accordance with organizational and Modivcare requirements.\nProtect patient and rider information in accordance with applicable confidentiality requirements.\nWhat You Need\nMinimum of 2 years of supervisory experiencein transportation, dispatch, healthcare operations, behavioral health, human services, or a related environment.\nMust be at least 18 years of age.\nValid driver's license and ability to meet company automobile insurance eligibility requirements.\nAbility to successfully meet all Driver/Transporter screening requirements because this position may provide backup transportation.\nStrong organizational and scheduling skills.\nComfort working with scheduling systems, spreadsheets, and detailed operational records.\nAbility to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.\nStrong communication and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to lead employees with both accountability and respect.\nAbility to remain calm and professional when working with individuals experiencing crisis, behavioral health challenges, or early recovery.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with non-emergency medical transportation, paratransit, healthcare transportation, or Medicaid transportation programs.\nExperience working with Modivcare or another Medicaid transportation broker.\nWest Virginia Peer Recovery Support Specialist certification.\nLived experience of recovery or experience supporting individuals affected by substance use disorders.\nFamiliarity with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, healthcare compliance, or behavioral health confidentiality requirements.\nScreening and Training Requirements\nEmployment in this role is contingent upon successful completion of required pre-employment and ongoing screening requirements, which may include:\nNational criminal background check\nNational and West Virginia Sex Offender Registry screening\nChild abuse registry screening\nFederal healthcare exclusion screening\nMotor vehicle record review\n10-panel drug screening\nScreening requirements may be repeated
