We are committed to forging long-term partnerships with our clients by creating and delivering robust and flexible services that address the changing needs of their business.\n\nWe are recruiting to fill the position below:\n\nJob Title: Credit Officer \n\nLocation: Sagamu, Ogun\n\nEmployment Type: Full-time\n\nAbout the Role\n\n We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Credit Officer to assess credit applications, evaluate customers’ creditworthiness, and ensure responsible lending decisions.\n\n The successful candidate will be responsible for managing credit risks, monitoring loan repayments, maintaining accurate credit records, and ensuring compliance with the organisation’s credit policies and procedures.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n Review and assess credit applications to determine applicants’ creditworthiness and repayment capacity.\n\n Analyse customers’ financial information, income, credit history, and supporting documents.\n\n Conduct credit risk assessments and make recommendations on loan approvals, limits, and repayment terms.\n\n Verify customer information and carry out due diligence before credit approval.\n\n Monitor loan portfolios, repayment schedules, overdue accounts, and delinquent loans.\n\n Follow up with customers on outstanding payments and coordinate recovery efforts where necessary.\n\n Identify potential credit risks and recommend appropriate measures to minimise loan defaults.\n\n Maintain accurate credit files, loan documentation, and portfolio performance records.\n\n Prepare regular reports on credit exposure, loan performance, repayment rates, and outstanding balances.\n\nRequirements\n\n Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Banking and Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.\n\n Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in credit management, credit analysis, loan administration, or lending operations.\n\n Good understanding of credit assessment, risk analysis, loan monitoring, and debt recovery processes.\n\n Strong analytical, numerical, and decision-making skills.\n\n Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant financial or credit management systems.\n\n Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.\n\n Willingness to work on-site in Sagamu, Ogun State.\n\nKey Competencies:\n\n Credit Risk Assessment\n\n Credit Analysis and Loan Appraisal\n\n Loan Portfolio Monitoring\n\n Debt Recovery and Delinquency Management\n\n Financial Analysis and Documentation\n\n Credit Reporting and Record-Keeping.\n\nSalary\n\nN300,000 -
