Job Title: Logistics & Fleet Manager – Manufacturing

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced Logistics & Fleet Manager to manage end-to-end transportation, dispatch, distribution, and company-owned truck fleet operations for a manufacturing company.
• The ideal candidate must have strong experience in fleet management, driver supervision, route planning, cost control, and high-volume dispatch operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement road safety measures and coordinate driver training.
• Manage daily operations and utilization of company-owned trucks.
• Monitor key KPIs including on-time delivery, fleet utilization, cost/km, fuel consumption, and downtime.
• Drive logistics cost optimization through route planning and load consolidation.
• Liaise with Production, Warehouse, Sales, and external transport vendors where required.
• Ensure fleet documentation, insurance, permits, and transport regulatory compliance.
• Prepare regular logistics and fleet performance reports.
• Plan dispatch schedules, routes, loading, and timely delivery of finished goods.
• Monitor fuel consumption, vehicle maintenance, breakdowns, and fleet downtime.
• Manage drivers, helpers, scheduling, performance, and compliance.

Requirements

• Strong analytical, leadership, reporting, and cost-control skills.
• Familiarity with ERP, GPS, or fleet-management systems is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transport Management, or a related field.
• Knowledge of Nigerian transport regulations and fleet compliance.
• Proven experience managing company-owned/in-house truck fleets is essential.
• 5–10 years’ experience in logistics, fleet, transportation, or distribution management.
• Strong experience managing drivers, dispatch operations, route planning, fuel, and vehicle maintenance.
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, plastics, packaging, or other high-volume distribution environments is preferred.
