Answering emails in a timely fashion, building Peak shipments, quoting loads, and tracking the running loads. OBC Agents must communicate and organize all services associated with Ascent On-Board Courier product while maintaining the highest level of attention to detail and customer service. This position also requires you to work cross functionally with our MX team using shared processes and creating growth together. Adhere to and promote the company’s Guiding Principles of “Play Hard” “Play Smart” and “Play Together”.\nOptimize expedited activity and determine the most optimal mode of transit based on customer requirements.\nCreate new OBC shipments with all relative information provided by the customer. Either via email or phone call.\nEffectively communicate quote requests to the customer via phone or email.\nConfidently assemble creative and detailed quotes for On-Board courier services.\nEffectively communicate all timing and appropriate cost aspects in quote detail.\nMaintain compliance with Ascent procedures and establish accurate timelines for purpose of adequately scheduling trucking and ground handling services at various airports.\nIdentify issues related to OBC movements and effectively escalate both internally and externally.\nMaintain awareness and visualize shipment activity in efforts to maintain compliance with all milestone management details and escalation.\nRead, comprehend, understand, and validate all documents necessary for a Hand carry.\nEffectively manage all channels of communication utilized within the Ascent OBC operation.\nPrecisely and chronologically document the various events throughout the Hand carry lifecycle using standardized templates.\nAssist with auditing and carrier evaluations.\nProvide quality customer service to each customer per their individual needs.\nShift Details\nTuesday-Saturday 0800-1600 or Wednesday-Saturday 0800-1800\nHybrid (4 days on-site - 1 flex)\nWhat You’ll Bring\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nStrong computer skills in Microsoft Windows, Word, Outlook and Excel preferred.\nAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization\nBasic geography of USA, Mexico, and Canada.
