Join Ascom in Gothenburg and play an important role in ensuring that our products are introduced and manufactured with the right quality, capacity and efficiency.\nThe role\nAs our Project Manager within Supply Chain, you will manage global supply chain projects from initial scope and planning through execution, follow-up and handover to the maintenance phase.\nYou will coordinate activities between main project and across Supply Chain, Quality, Purchasing, Logistics, R&D and other relevant functions, while working closely with our EMS and ODM suppliers. A key part of the role is ensuring that new products and manufacturing processes meet Ascom’s requirements regarding quality, capacity, cost, flexibility and lead time. The position is based at our office inGothenburg and includes international collaboration and frequent travel to supplier sites.\nYour responsibilities\nPlan, lead and follow up supply chain projects, including scope, timelines, deliverables, risks and reporting.\n\nEnsure quality assurance and on-time delivery throughout the project lifecycle.\n\nCoordinate product introductions and secure a smooth transition into ramp-up, mass production and the maintenance phase.\n\nEnsure that products are manufactured and repaired according to Ascom’s requirements for quality, capacity and lead time.\n\nManage project progress with EMS and ODM suppliers, including cost, quality management plans, yield, capacity, efficiency and pre-series activities.\n\nConfirm that manufacturing processes and deliveries are developed, validated and ready for implementation.\n\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.\n\nCoordinate activities across Supply Chain, Quality, Purchasing, Logistics, R&D, Marketing and other relevant functions.\n\nSupport the continuous improvement and standardization of supply chain project methods, processes and ways of working.\n\nContribute to a stable, secure and continuously improving global supply chain.\n\nWhat you bring\nA master’s degree in mechanical engineering, electronic engineering or a related technical field.\n\nSeveral years of experience within Supply Chain, Manufacturing and/or Quality Assurance.\n\nProven experience leading projects and cross-functional project teams.\n\nStrong knowledge of project management methods, planning, risk management and stakeholder coordination.\n\nStrong understanding of electronic manufacturing processes, production flow, test methods and industrialization.\n\nExperience working with external manufacturing partners, preferably EMS or ODM suppliers.\n\nExperience and strong knowledge in translating technical requirements into clear manufacturing, supplier and quality deliverables.\n\nA good understanding of electronic manufacturing processes, including production, testing, logistics, purchasing and quality assurance.\n\nExperience building and developing strong, long-term supplier relationships.\n\nKnowledge of ERP systems and good proficiency in Microsoft 365.\n\nAn understanding of Lean Production principles and continuous improvement.\n\nExcellent communication skills and professional fluency in English.\n\nWho you are\nYou are a structured, proactive and technically skilled Project Manager with a strong understanding of production processes, engineering drawings and technical specifications.
