This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Maintenance and Reliability team. This position will report to Maintenance and Reliability Manager.\nThe responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:\nReview planned work orders and confirming job readiness, including labor, duration, priority, permits, equipment availability, materials, tools, contractors, and operating constraints.\nDevelop, publish, and maintain daily and weekly maintenance schedules for preventive, predictive, corrective, inspection, and project-related work.\nFacilitate schedule review meetings with Maintenance and Operations, resolve resource conflicts, and communicate changes, risks, and production impacts.\nCoordinate schedule execution, track break-in work and delays, update work order dates and status, and support continuous improvement of schedule compliance and wrench time.\nMaintain an accurate backlog of ready-to-schedule work and identify work orders blocked by materials, engineering, access, permits, or operational conditions.\nCoordinate materials for planned work by verifying parts lists, stock availability, reservations, staging, kitting, delivery dates, and return of unused materials.\nCreate or support purchase requisitions and purchase orders for non-stock materials, repair services, rentals, and contractor support in accordance with site procedures and approval limits.\nExpedite critical orders, follow up with suppliers, resolve discrepancies, and communicate material risks that could affect the maintenance schedule.\nPartner with maintain inventory accuracy, min/max levels, reorder points, critical-spare coverage, obsolescence controls, and cycle-count follow-up.\nCoordinate repairable spares and vendor repairs, including shipment, quotation follow-up, expected return date, documentation, and warranty tracking.\nMaintain accurate CMMS records, including work order schedules, material requirements, purchase references, lead times, job status, and completion information.\nMonitor and report relevant metrics such as schedule compliance, ready backlog, material availability, stockouts, emergency purchases, overdue orders, inventory accuracy, and repair turnaround time.\nSupport planned shutdowns and turnarounds by coordinating schedule integration, material readiness, staging, and supplier commitments.\nPerform all activities in accordance with site safety, environmental, quality, Management of Change, Process Safety Management, procurement, and financial-control requirements.\nActively contribute to the organizational goals by taking initiative, executing on goals and focusing on performance and safety\nImprove the organization capacity and capabilities through building collaborative relationships, optimizing diverse talent and utilizing positive communications and influence with others\nWhat This Role Is Not:\nNot a management position - while you will collaborate with other team members, this is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.\nNot a work from home position - assignments require face-to-face daily interaction with plant management and team members.\nIn order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in maintenance, engineering technology, supply chain, business, or a related field preferred.\nThree or more years of experience in industrial maintenance scheduling, maintenance planning, MRO materials, storeroom operations, procurement, or a closely related role.\nExperience in a chemical, petrochemical, refining, pharmaceutical, or other process-manufacturing environment preferred.\nWorking knowledge of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and rotating-equipment maintenance terminology and parts.\nPractical understanding of maintenance work management, preventive maintenance, backlog management, material staging, purchasing, and inventory controls.\nProficiency with a CMMS/EAM system such as IBM Maximo and with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Teams; experience with ERP or procurement systems is preferred.\nAbility to read equipment bills of material, drawings, manuals, vendor quotations, and technical specifications.\nStrong organization, prioritization, analytical, supplier-management, and cross-functional communication skills.\nAbility to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and make timely decisions in a changing plant environment. Work is performed in office, warehouse, maintenance shop, and operating plant environments.\nRegular use of required personal protective equipment and compliance with site access and safety requirements are mandatory.\nAbility to walk through operating areas, climb stairs and ladders, and occasionally lift or move materials weighing up to 25 lb.\nAbility to respond to urgent maintenance or material issues outside normal working hours when business needs require.\nDemonstrate responsible and ethical behavior at all times\nThe ability to help the Company drive greater value through understanding the business, making complex decisions and creating the new and different\nThe following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:\nFormal maintenance planning and scheduling, MRO inventory, procurement, or supply-chain training or certification.\nExperience with weekly scheduling, kitting and staging, critical-spare analysis, contractor coordination, shutdowns, and repairable-spare programs.\nKnowledge of OSHA and Process Safety Management expectations applicable to maintenance work in a chemical facility.\nExperience working in a unionized manufacturing environment.\nPerks of working at Ashland:\nTeam recognition rewards, and monetary incentives based on performance.\nEligible for annual bonus based on personal and Company performance.\nComprehensive Benefit package, Medical, Dental and Vision starting on Day 1 for you AND your family.\n401(k) plan with company match.\nThird party recruiters and agencies (“Agency”) should not contact employees of Ashland or its subsidiaries directly.
