This is a very significant role within the Company and the Life Sciences function. This position will report to the Operations Manager.\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for performing polymer production tasks as per Work Instructions/procedures and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.\nThe responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:\nMeasuring and weighing all raw materials in preparation for production. Feeding the raw materials into the machinery \nOperating the production machinery as per Work Instructions\nMonitor the production process\nMilling and Grinding of Polymer\nPackaging and labeling of polymer products\nRegular cleaning of production and processing equipment\nReceiving and inspecting raw materials\nSupport dispatch activities for product samples and commercial customer orders\nCompletion and upkeep of production records (Batch Processing Record) and other associated documentation as required\nInforming the Production Team leader of faulty machinery or production issues\nOther duties associated with the day-to-day operation activities\nActively contribute to the organizational goals by taking initiative, executing on goals and focusing on performance and safety\nIn order to be qualified for this role, youmust possessthe following:\nLeaving certificate or equivalent required. May substitute educational requirements in lieu of experience\nMust be familiar with the functions of equipment systems that operate by utilizing multiple utilities such as compressed air, electrical supply, vacuum, steam, chilled water, etc\nHands-on approach to general working demands\nWillingness to learn and adapt to our expanding plant\nCompetent approach to high-pressure/high-temperature equipment\nEnsuring the safety of yourself and others\nLogical decision-making and working off own initiative\nMust have legible handwriting and the ability to perform accurate documentation\nMust be organized, capable of following instructions, and can coordinate multiple activities simultaneously\nMust be able to work in a methodical and organized fashion and maintain mental focus to ensure efficient and accurate completion of individual tasks\nExcellent written and oral communication skills, being fluent in English\nDemonstrated responsible and ethical behavior at all times\nThe ability to help the company drive greater value through understanding the business, making complex decisions and creating the new and different\nThe following skill sets arepreferred by the business unit:\nExperience as an operator or technician in a chemical, food and Pharma manufacturing environment would be an advantage\nExperience in a clean room is an advantage\nIn more than 100 countries, the people of Ashland LLC.
