This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Quality division at Ambernath site (On site job). This position will report to QA/QC Manager.\nThe primary role of this position within the Aquarius Ambernath, India is to manage, maintain and continually improve the Aquarius Quality Management System while safeguarding alignment with applicable ISO standards, EXCiPACT and regulatory requirements, compendial requirements, Ashland objectives and customer needs. Maintains site certifications as appropriate (i.e. ISO, EXCiPACT, FSSC, Organic, Kosher, Halal etc).\nKey Responsibilities\nConduct raw material, in-process, and finished goods testing per the associated work instructions.\nPrepare laboratory batches for new and existing products as needed.\nPerform daily, weekly, and monthly calibration verifications as scheduled.\nSupport complaint investigations.\nClearly label all samples, reagents, and equipment. Maintain detailed records of procedures and results.\nMaintain compliance with all health, safety, and environmental procedures and guidelines.\nDemonstrate strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to read, interpret, and report data.\nRegularly work in the laboratory, walk, stand, and climb stairs and ladders.\nFollow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).\nExhibit strong attention to detail.\nRegularly calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.\nReview batch records and perform final product release through iLIMS as needed.\nPerform daily and weekly housekeeping assignments.\nCollaborate effectively as a team member and facilitate coordination within the team.\nWear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves, lab coats, safety shoes, and safety glasses.\nMaintain inventory of laboratory supplies, raw materials for laboratory batches, and laboratory chemicals.\nAdhere to good laboratory practices and established protocols for all activities.\nAssist in miscellaneous QA activities including new product setup, customer information requests, training, internal audits, and process improvement activities.\nDispose of chemical waste properly according to regulations. Separate and dispose of different types of waste appropriately.\nMaintain a clean and organized workspace. Clean equipment before and after use to prevent contamination.\nBe familiar with emergency procedures, including the location of safety equipment and exits.\nHandle samples with care to prevent contamination or loss. Follow proper storage and transportation protocols.\nMaintain clear communication within the laboratory team. Report any deviations from procedures promptly.\nImplement quality control measures to monitor and verify the reliability of results.\nAdhere to ethical standards in research and data reporting. Avoid fabrication or falsification of data.\nEnsure the integrity and confidentiality of data. Implement measures to prevent data manipulation.\nConduct risk assessments for experiments and activities to identify potential hazards and implement necessary precautions.\nPractice good document management.\nInvestigate Out-of-Specification (OOS) results.\nReport laboratory deviations.\nMonitor quality metrics.\nConduct stability testing.\nReview product compliance with respective compendial standards.\nQualify new laboratory equipment.\nParticipate in ongoing training and continuous improvement initiatives to stay updated on best practices and new techniques.\nPreferred Experience\nB. Sc. in chemistry or biology or equivalent years of experience.\nA minimum of 3-5 years laboratory experience in a regulated industry.\nAbility to work as part of a team and independently as needed.\nCompetency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.\nExperience with SAP and LIMS.\nKnowledge in cGMP, cGLP.\nKnowledge of Laboratory Safety.\nStrong written and oral communication skills with ability to read, interpret, and report data.\nKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)\nAudit compliance score (zero critical observations)\nBatch release turnaround time\nDeviation closure timelines\nCustomer complaint closure timelines\nRight First Time (RFT) batch rate\nCustomer complaint reduction\nIn more than 100 countries, the people of Ashland LLC.
