This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the environmental compliance function. This position will report to the Environmental Manager.\nThe responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:\nServe as the primary administrative resource supporting site environmental compliance programs, documentation systems, and regulatory reporting activities.\nMaintain records and coordinate activities associated with hazardous and non-hazardous waste management programs, including profiles, manifests, and disposal documentation.\nAdminister environmental data and compliance tracking systems, including SAP and other environmental management tools.\nCompile, organize, and maintain wastewater compliance data and support submission of regulatory reports, including Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMRs).\nMaintain environmental compliance plans and associated records, including SPCC Plans, Groundwater Protection Plans, and Stormwater BMP documentation.\nAdminister chemical inventory systems and support Tier II and other regulatory reporting requirements.\nYou will work alongside experienced environmental professionals and operations personnel supporting critical environmental compliance programs that enable safe and reliable plant operations.\nWe value continuous improvement and innovative ideas that strengthen compliance processes, improve data management, and enhance organizational effectiveness.\nActively contribute to the organizational goals by taking initiative, executing on goals and focusing on performance and safety.\nImprove the organization capacity and capabilities through building collaborative relationships, optimizing diverse talent and utilizing positive communications and influence with others.\nWhat This Role Is Not:\nNot a management position. This is an individual contributor role with no direct supervisory responsibilities.\nNot an engineering design role. The position focuses on environmental program administration, regulatory documentation, data management, and compliance support.\nNot an entry-level position. We require extensive practical experience supporting environmental compliance programs in an industrial environment.\nNot primarily a field position. While occasional plant interaction is required, much of the role centers on documentation, reporting, recordkeeping, and program coordination.\nIn order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:\nBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in any field of study.\nMinimum of 10 years of experience supporting environmental compliance programs in a manufacturing, industrial, chemical, or related environment.\nDemonstrated experience with RCRA hazardous waste management and manifest administration.\nDemonstrated experience supporting Clean Water Act compliance, including NPDES/KPDES permit programs and DMR reporting.\nExperience administering SPCC, Tier II, chemical inventory, or related environmental compliance programs.\nProficiency with SAP, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and electronic document management systems.\nExperience maintaining regulatory records, compliance databases, and environmental reporting documentation.\nDemonstrated responsible and ethical behavior at all times.\nThe ability to help the company drive greater value through understanding the business, making complex decisions and creating the new and different.\nThe following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:\nExperience in a chemical manufacturing environment.\nExperience preparing or supporting electronic regulatory submissions in Kentucky specific systems such as the Tempo database.\nCompetent Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting functions.\nExperience supporting environmental audits, inspections, and management systems.\nPerks of Working at Ashland:\nComprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage starting on Day 1 for you and your family.\n401(k) plan with company match.\nBonus program.\nOpportunities for professional development and growth within a global organization.\nSupporting work/life balance through flexible work arrangements where business needs allow.\nIn more than 100 countries, the people of Ashland LLC.
